One Of The Chosen

In case you were unaware this was posted on the Diablo forums yesterday

In celebration of a successful beta test, all players who were invited to participate in the Diablo III closed beta will receive the commemorative Feat of Strength, "One of the Chosen." For eligible players, this feat will appear automatically in the Feat of Strength list after logging in for the first time as well as unlock a unique sigil that can be used on character banners.

In order to be eligible for "One of the Chosen," you must have had a Diablo III closed beta license attached to your account (it isn't necessary to have downloaded or logged into the beta itself). Please note that players who participated only in the Open Beta Weekend, but were not invited to the closed beta, will not receive this Feat of Strength.

Thank you once again to all of our beta participants. We look forward to seeing you in Sanctuary!

Now imagine how people reacted.

You got it. People's sense of entitlement has gone off like crazy. When someone gets something, which you can't they go crazy. Honestly what is wrong with these people? It isn't even a real achievement it is a feat of strength, which by definition is something that not everyone has. When you get a collector's edition you get a feat. When you are the first to do something, you get a feat. Like what is wrong with people, that this hurts them? Does it matter, does it make you a better player? Of course not, it is all about keeping up with everyone else. Even if this isn't keeping up with anything.

The best thing about it is Diablo is a game about randomness. The items themselves are indivdual lottery tickets. This would be the same as creating a forum post complaining about not getting the stats you wanted on an item and having to find another one. This sounds retarded and it should because it is. Why not give someone a feat for "Endless Bitching" or "Sense of Entitlement", "Deserves Everything Everyone Else Has". I am sick and tired of this crap. It wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard created this feat just to piss people off so everyone can get the petty crap out of their system before the game is released. Sadly though they won't and they will always find something to complain about.

  1. I saw those posts. People will cry about anything

  2. I do know that W7 had a facility termed Digital Computer, whereby you may partition your hard-drive and cargo an alternative operating technique but I can?
