Sunday! Yes your weekend is almost over, but look on the bright side it means the second episode of Game of Thrones is closer. It almost means you get to come here and see what questions I will be answering this week. I know it really is a big deal. We should get right to it.

Do you think anyone will ever think the remake of Final Fantasy 7 is better than the original?

Even if it is no reviewer is ever going to say it was. With older games that you played you tend to put them on a pedestal and believe they are untouchable. Do I think the original FF7 is a great game? Of course, I do. The problem is people will believe nothing can touch it and anything that is done to "change" it will be the worst thing in the world. It is why there was the uproar when the battle system didn't appear to be the classic turn based as was in the original. Even if FF7 was an amazing game and still is to this day, there are things in every game which can be improved no matter what, and this is the thing that nostalgia prevents many people from realizing.

In regards to your Reader Post, do you really think they are all going to die?

That was just something put forth that if the racial leaders of each faction in Warcraft were to die who would take over. It really is an interesting thing to think about. How the dynamics of the universe can change. As we saw in Cataclysm and Mists one racial leader change can have a massive effect on the world as a whole. I guess gaming and politics can mix afterall.

Will Ret Pally's get a pass from you in Legion?

Sunday! Yes it is that time of the week once again. Hard to believe the weekend is over. Well it is hard to believe Friday was my birthday. Regardless it is that time of the week and here in Gauss Land Sunday means it is time for Ask Gauss. The post of the week where I answer some of the questions sent to me throughout the week. Don't know how to send in a question? Well it is pretty simple on the top right of the page you will see a ton of different ways to find me and get a hold of me. Pick one and do it, it is that simple. So why don't I go ahead with the questions

With all the games coming up, what one are you most looking forward to?

Well I am looking very forward to Lightning Returns and Assassin's Creed 4, but the game I am by far most looking forward to is Beyond Two Souls. Haven't heard of it? Well you are certainly missing out. I cannot do it justice by jsut explaining it so here is a trailer for it. But beware you will be hooked.

So you are a Cleric in Rift you like it?

Well it has been quite awhile since I have played anything healer. It is different which is good. Most would be suprised I didn't pick a warrior, and I guess that would make sense, but there was a time when picking a warrior would have seemed weird. You see I only played a warrior in WoW because Cairne was my favourite character in Warcraft III. I wouldn't have picked a warrior of any other race. In reality I have in general always prefered mages of the black magic variety throughout my gaming career.

Anyways, to get back to the question is I like it gives me something different to do in a game which is very similar to WoW. So to anyone I would suggest playing something different then you are used to just so it seems different, because the game is similar enough that it wouldn't be much of a change.

Retribution Pally Issues

So if you some reason decided to play a paladin, and then also decided to spec ret. You may be in for a little surprise. This surprise being that you can actually do some dps. Now I am here to inform you that this is a bug and you will be returned to your lowly status of DPS joke after a bug fix goes out. At least you could enjoy your time of being able to do this

So basically if you are a Ret Pally(I really have a hard time typing that without breaking out into laughing fits) you cannot do anything of consequence until this is fixed because the bug will allow you to basically 3 man heroic content. That is you could do something and just get banned and have it taken away.

You Have To Be Kidding Me

So the Pally preview was today for all those that didn't know. Blizzard always leaves paladins to last since I think it is more than 30% of characters in WoW are paladins. So they have to get the QQ and short bus preped and warmed up. Getting ready to read the changes I almost expected something completely ridiculous, and I wasn't disappointed.

Guardian of Ancient Kings (level 85): Summons a temporary guardian that looks like a winged creature of light armed with a sword. The visual is similar to that of the Resurrection spell used by the paladin in Warcraft III. The guardian has a different effect depending on the talent spec of the paladin. For Holy paladins, the guardian heals the most wounded ally in the area. For Protection paladins, the guardian absorbs some incoming damage. For Retribution paladins, it damages an enemy, similar to the death knight Gargoyle or the Nibelung staff. 3-minute cooldown. 30-second duration.

Now think about all the previews we have read about. Done? Now read that again. Now does this sound as insane as I am thinking it does? Maybe it is my eternal hatred for paladins or maybe it's not. I would love to have a spell or ability that works differently depending on what spec I was at the time. This would be like army of the dead healing a target, or something less stupid as Whirlwind knocking down a target when spec'd prot. Now that sounds insane and completely Overpowered. Now go back and read the cooldown and how long it lasts, now it sounds even more ridiculous.

So it's Tuesday, meaning fail day. I know I am late and many of you have probably already been checking and wondering where the hell the post is. Well its up now so you can stop sending me crap wondering where it is. So here goes.

• You think telling me you ignore me makes me cry
• You are arguing I know nothing about gemming and yet you are a rogue who gems strength
• You call me an idiot for posting bullets in stacks of 100s, but yet you bought them
• You tell me I know nothing about raiding as a mage because 71 points in frost is a solid spec
• You say I am 300lbs because I run a guild and have gear
• After you have been telling anal jokes for 20minutes you tell me I know not funny
• You say I know nothing about the math I post
• You say I am I just a trade spamming idiot who will never get into a good guild
• You insult my DPS when your gear score is higher than yours
• You call me a noob for the daggers I know equipped
• You tell me my gear is awful when I am wearing 9/9 twill
• You spam your link for all your max profession and tell me I have no life
• You say only morons will try to tank an instance as fury
• You spell my name wrong while trying

and finally

• You say my class is stupid easy to play and you're a ret pally.

It is Wednesday, bring on the questions! To go over some quick ones first. Yes I call random people idiots, yes I have attempted to kill my neighbours cat, no I am not 300lbs, no I will not give you gold, and maybe I remember you from that time we did that thing and killed some stuff. Ok let's get to the ones that require a little more thought.

Does it bother you that some people have such a dislike towards you?

Honestly, no. I play this game for fun and I know of course people will not find things that I do amusing. I also know that some people take things I say way to seriously. I joke around and if people don't like it so be it. I am not going to shove myself in their face and force them to like me. I know I have opinions and not everyone is going to agree. That is just the way things are. The hate mail actually is some of the best to read. I got an email from someone who worked at World Vision saying my "food buffs are for African children" joke was going to far. If it was or not that is not the point it was a joke. Have you not heard a Bob Burnham song? Completely offensive, but you will laugh your ass off. If I can say something and it makes people laugh, then I have done what I set out to do, because really isn't that the point of a joke? People are in their own right to say and think what they want. If someone wants to ignore me or talk crap then so be it, but respect I may do the same. I know full well people will have issues with me or anyone else. Just the way things will always be. People will never agree with everything I say. What fun would that be anyway? Not everyone is going to get along and I don't expect it. Really I just think because I am "there" people notice it.

Do you think less people play ret pallys because you make fun of them?

Of course not. Although, I do find it amusing that all these ret pallys link me meters of them at the top after a heroic. I feel there is this game of back and forth I play with all ret pallys. It is a running joke from way back in classic WoW and I am not going to stop now. I have 3 ret pallys in my guild all of whom are good players, and you can ask them I make fun of them on a daily basis.

If less people played them I would be in fact be disappointed. I would have to write a new set of material on a completely different class. Besides nothing brings people together than pointing and laughing at ret pallys. Just as with the previous question. When I am joking around don't take nothing to seriously and laugh because most of the time it's funny.

How many mails do you get a day?

OVER 9000! Ok that was bad, but its almost true.
