You Fail At Being A Warrior If...

So it is Fail Day, everyone's favourite day of the week. The day we get to poke fun at others for all of the special things that they do. For the last little bit on fail day I have been going over the classes and letting the WoW world how you fail at playing that class. Well today it is special to my heart because today it is the Warrior. Yes I got a lot of mails asking if I was ever going to do the warrior since it is, of course, the class I play. Nothing is safe though and nothing is sacred, although I do find it amusing that "The Shattering" is happening when I chose to do this particular fail. And so it begins!

You Fail At Being A Warrior If...
  • You don't have a shield
  • You get feared
  • You learned Berzerker Stance before you learned Defensive
  • Your toon does not have a warrior beard
  • You try to do anything of consequence without a healer
  • You think Thunderclap does Spell Damage
  • Taunt is in your tanking rotation
  • You are unfamiliar with the warrior aggro dump known as "death"
  • You don't insult a ret paladin at least once a day
  • You don't expect to get a nerf every single patch
  • You don't remember the joy and pleasure of what used to be known as a "fear bomb"
  • You think single minded fury is a cool and interesting talent
  • You taunt off of idiots that don't manage their aggro
  • Regardless of how many legendaries have been usable by warriors you don't complain about not getting another one every single time a non warrior legendary comes out.

and finally

  • You race change your warrior to a Blood Elf

That is it for this week and in fact is the end of the fail series in regards to the classes. I know a sad day indeed, but never fear there will always be something that people will fail at. Enjoy the new old world, or should I say good luck logging on?

The Warrior Beard

So have you ever wondered why warriors are so awesome? Well anyone who hasn't had the chance to read what a warrior beard is. Let me give you Snopptrogg's Introduction.

Warrior Beards have always been something that made our class stand out from other classes. While other classes may appear to also have Beards, we all know that theirs are pale imitations. Their Beards lack the thick luxuriousness of a true Warrior Beard, as well as true power that comes with a Warrior Beard. Some classes may appear to have beards, but they are not in fact true Beards.
The following has been taken from an extensive study that has been conducted since WoW was released.

He then goes on to explain what it is other classes actually have

  • Paladins grow wispy beards filled with sunshine and unicorn dust.
  • DK's grow scraggly beards with more patchiness than a 13 year old boy who is growing his first beard.
  • Hunters don't actually have beards, but on occasion do try and glue fur their pets have shed off onto their faces.
  • Mages have tried to grow true beards, because beards refuse to grow on someone wearing a dress.
  • Warlocks don't have beards. They simply forgot to wash their faces.
  • Druids don't have beards either. They have moss growing on their skin from all their time communing with nature and dancing in fields of flowers.
  • Rogues don't have beards because a true beard refuses to ever be rendered invisible. They could not hide the glory that is the beard even with all of the stealth abilities they possess.
  • Shamans tried to grow beards. This effort was for naught though as their beards were thin and they could only grow a soul patch.
  • Priests once tried to grow an epic beard, but upon realizing that their beards were filled with all the ferocity of a kitten getting a belly rub, they have decided it best to stop trying.

He then goes on to explain the facts about the warrior beard, the warrior beard vs facial hair, Manifestations of the warrior beard & the female warrior beard, the warrior beard in game, Meanings of other beards, and finally beard testimonials and stories.

This is really a great read that you will laugh and be amused by it. Click here to read the entire article and tell me what you think of it. And in doing so I must ask the question, do you have a warrior beard?

The Warrior Preview

So I play a warrior and I am going to only talk about warrior changes. This is unless they come up with something completely retarded for another class that just has to be said. Mark the pally's preview on the calender I just have a feeling.

First off the rage normalization. They tried this in BC and it failed hardcore. It caused everyone to be rage starved and was just stupid. They are telling us now that it will work how they intended it to before. If it does work then it will be good, because honestly no one likes having no rage at low gear level then basically infinite all the time at high gear levels.

New Abilities

Inner Rage: This is basically a bonus when you reach 100 rage. Passive ability that increases damage. I like it.

Gushing Wound: Boss or player moves they get hurt more is what it comes down to. PvE wise only useful on fights where the boss ends up moving a lot. You are not going to ask your tank to move the boss so you get more damage. The PvP application I believe this is Blizzard's answer to the being able to kite a warrior problem. Because now the player running away from you will take more damage the more they move.

Heroic Leap: So apparently Wrath Beta was merely a setback... Yes this move was on the table in a different light in Wrath beta. Was a targetable jump to an area asigned by the warrior then. It was basically allowing people to jump places you weren't supposed to go so it was scrapped. Now it can be done by targetting a player and will cause a thunderclap effect. In my opinion this is now just a fancy charge, and was much better in the previous form even if all the people are like "OMG WE CAN JUMP AROUND"

Mechanics

  • Heroic strike is now on the GC and is an instant attack. Still meant to be a rage dump.
  • Shouts don't cost rage, but will generate them. They will work more like DKs horns
  • Whirlwind can hit unlimited targets, but the damage has been reduced to 50% weapon damage
  • Mortal Strikes healing debuff will be now 20%, but this will be done to all healing reducing abilities
  • Sunder will be 3 stacks instead of 5, but still be 4% per stack.

New Interesting Talents

  • The new Arms talent called Disarming Nature will make successful disarms cause the target to cower in fear for 5/10 seconds.
  • Single-Minded Fury that is parallel to Titan's Grip and will provide a large boost to the damage of a pair of one-handed weapons.

Mastery Talent Tree Bonus

Arms
Melee Damage
Armor Penetration
Bonus Swing

Bonus Swing: This is similar to the Sword Specialization talent that is currently in the game, but Bonus Swing will work on all attacks and with all weapons. You have a chance to proc a free, instant weapon swing that hits for 50% damage.

Fury
Melee Damage
Melee Haste
Enrage Intensity

Enrage Intensity: Every benefit of being enraged is increased. This includes doing more damage/healing/ etc. from abilities like Bloodrage, Death Wish, Enrage, Berserker Rage, and Enraged Regeneration.

Protection
Damage Reduction
Vengeance
Critical Block Chance

Critical Block Chance: As we mentioned in the stat changes preview, block rating is changing to a chance to block 30% of a melee swing's damage. Protection warriors have a chance that the block will be a critical block and block for 60% of a melee swing's damage instead. There will likely be talents available to push the amount blocked even higher.

Vengeance: This had a huge explanation basically tanks damage will increase as their HP increases. The point of this is so threat doesn't plateau when DPS increases exponentially.

So that was it for the warrior preview. I like for the most part and like always don't go nuts because everything is not done and their will be more to come. So just breathe. ZOMG Nerf

So they are nerfing Bladestorm next patch so that you can be disarmed while doing it. Now whenever they nerf warriors for those who don't know there is always like 50 posts on the warrior forums about the same thing and it is all the same people replying to other peoples threads with the same thing that they said in other threads. Makes actually reading them rather confusing because you are always wondering if you read that already. Now I understand why they are doing this if you don't know here are the reasons.
  • People are in aww of the spinning warrior and stand in the Bladestorm and die
  • People don't know you can stop attacking a target
  • There are many fail rogues that play this game
  • Did I mention people don't know you don't have to stand in the Bladestorm?

Now this is obviously a PvP nerf, but you know could always equip a weapon chain... Anyways like think for a second of how one could possibly actually disarm someone while doing this. Or they going to say change Bladestorm to use at your own risk because you could lose your grip on your weapon. The now epic tooltip of bladestorm would know read something like this.

Instantly Whirlwind up to 4 nearby targets and for the next 6 sec you will perform a whirlwind attack every 1 sec. While under the effects of Bladestorm, you can move but cannot perform any other abilities but you do not feel pity or remorse or fear and you cannot be stopped unless killed. BEWARE use at your own risk could send your weapon flying and then you will be defenseless.

or

Really I just like poking fun at the massive amount of crying on the warrior forums. Although I do think its funny how they are allowing this because people are retarded. Pretty soon you will be teleported out of AoE! Reminder tomorrow is the last day to get your stories in about "that special raider" keep sending them along I have been quite amused.
