You Mad Bro?

Happy Boxing Day or should I say happy mindless shopping? I actually had a great time spending time with my family. Doesn't happen often when a lot of us get together because there is so many of us, but when we do it is quite an event. That though isn't what I want to talk about. You see I was playing Hearthstone the other day and I was playing a warrior deck which can basically be a one turn kill if you play it correctly. It works out like this. At least for the "super hit"

1. Get yourself down to 10 health
2. Have 1 Warsong Commander, 2 Brewmasters(the cheaper cost ones), Molten Giants 2 of them for a 1 turn kill.

Then

  • Play the Commander
  • Play a both Giants for free(since you have 10 health) attack since you have charge with commander
  • Play both Brewmasters and return the Giants to your hand and attack with the Brewmasters
  • Play one of the Giants again for free and attack him
This works out to 8+8+3+3+8 = 30 damage meaning a 1 turn kill.

Now I was doing this and then this random person sent me a Friend Request and this happened.

Let's just say they were angry. Now I know this is a gimmick and will probably be adjusted in the future, but the simple way to deal with it is to realize they are doing it. And don't let them get to 10 Health.

Just for Lightout though have you ever done this?

I think not

Boxing Day

So in Canada and other places throughout the world it is Boxing Day. A holiday, which has many points of origin, but comes down to the fact that it was given as a break to workers for their work throughout the year. No one really recognizes Boxing Day as that anymore. Most people see Boxing Day as a day where anything and everything is on sale. So I decided today I was going to apply Boxing Day logic to WoW and show you how some of all these "Sales" don't make sense.

So you know those mats from the Burning Crusade that you still haven't been able to sell. Well make a trade macro and say 80% off just to get people to whisper you to see what you have. Then, of course, they check it out and realize it is a bunch of crap no one needs.

You pawn off all the items you have made for getting your profession up so you can get more gold to craft your blues and epics to sell them at ridiculous prices.

You log on early to sell your goods just to get people to do so as well. This therefore gives you the false sense of sales on that day because you started 8 hours earlier then any other day.

You have 20 people all on mammoths all trying to get their mail from the same mailbox all at the same time. Everyone is yelling at the other to get out the way when if you all weren't selfish bastards you would realize you could do it one at a time.

So there is my little Boxing Day fun. If you are in the realm of Boxing Day are you hiding out at home or have you ventured into the great beyond? As a note Ask Gauss is being pushed to tomorrow because sadly with the holidays I haven't had enough time to go through all the questions and pick ones that I felt fit in the time situation I was in. So don't worry It will just be tomorrow.

Boxing Day!!

So for those of you non Canadians you may not know that today is Boxing Day. To avoid a history lesson basically we get the day off. This is also the day of the biggest sales in the country. Basically the same as Black Friday in the US. Crazy shopping on everything around and crazy people who will do anything to get what they want. One year I was run over by a guy in a wheelchair and he wanted me to say sorry to him for being in his way. Apparently I had slowed him up from get the extra 20% off of the thing he was never going to use. I was a better person then, and held in everything I wanted to say. He wouldn't be so lucky if that happened today.

Anyways so today as I was in the car looking at all the people outside of the stores going absolutely mad. I thought, what would it be like if WoW had a shopping day? They could even make it fun and make it alliance and horde pvp zone. Oh the fun that would be had. Could have quests such as ninjaing the last of a particular item and laughing at the person who wanted it, Could be an achievement to survive a trampling crowd, and my favourite the "the ass" title for the person who buys every single of a particular item just to laugh at the others who wanted them. I actually did this one time. Well I didn't buy them I put every single one in my cart and walked around the store. The looks I got and the amount of things I was called. I almost wish I had recorded it.

So Blizzard let us try something like this. Even make it a one day a year battleground. The QQing which would take place would be epic, and then you would talk about it all year till the next. Ah the memories to last a lifetime.

Hope every one's Christmas was good or whatever it is you celebrate. Things will be getting back to a somewhat normal schedule Gauss wise soon enough. Till Tomorrow!
