See Your World Through My Eyes

Wednesday it is upon us and it is time I make myself a list. Now what list will I be going with this week? Well I decided to go with the top 5 worlds of gaming I would love to visit. With that in mind there are countless worlds from gaming and really these are where I would go because I think the things and people to see would be to my liking. So with that in mind it is probably much different than yours.

5. Mushroom Kingdom - Super Mario Bros.

This was one of my first gaming worlds visited and one that I never will forget. There are plenty of things and people to see and something which is much different than the world I live in. So that is why it makes the list.

4. Koprulu Sector - Starcraft

So I am not a super into science fiction, but I do love me some Starcraft. Also have always wondered what it was like to communicate with a Protoss.

3. Nirn - Elder Scrolls

Can you say Dragons? Can you say countless languages and landscapes. Everything just seems so picturesque, how could you not want to be a part of it.

2. Gaia - Final Fantasy VII

What can I say, I want to try me some Materia. Also want to know how they can do their hair like that, and wield swords twice the size of themselves. Sign me up.

1. Azeroth - Warcraft

Ever since I was a kid wanted to be a part of Azeroth. World of Warcraft even made me want to more. Everything about the races, the places just something which is so large in scope and beyond imagination.

Dragonborn

So here we are on Monday recovering from the fact that there will be no new Game of Thrones episodes for almost a year. I know it is an awful thing isn't it. If you haven't seen it make sure you stay away from the internet until you do if you want to avoid spoilers. With that in mind you may or may not have came across the fact that Cranius and Legs have released a new machinima/song for all of us to enjoy and well thought a video called Dragonborn really was a great choice for a day like today. So enjoy!



There you have it? Worth the wait for a new collaboration from the two of them? Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the next one!

Cinematic Propaganda

Now this is supposed to be Reader Post Friday but I am a little angry so this is going to turn into a rant. So the Reader Post will be back next week. Now since that is out of the way what is it that has got me so much up in arms? The Elder Scrolls Online. No I am not going to be one of those people complaining about how every MMO needs to be free to play. Why? Because those people are idiots a company can choose whatever model they like or think will work for them. No what I have a problem with is far simpler. You see I am a big fan of CE especially when it is done right. I also think there is a time and place to showcase that CE when you are releasing a game. Companies do it all the time by showing off the opening cinematic when a game is released. What I have a problem with is when you pass off a trailer or a cinematic as actually gamplay. This infuriates me to no end. Not to mention when you pay to have 8+ minute cinematic to sell your game. This to me really makes me wonder if your game is even that good.

Now don't get me wrong I enjoyed this cinematic I thought it was awesome, but the way it has been presented just makes me angry. This is an MMO and the graphics themselves look great as you can see from above but why do this? I have been on the fence for this game for quite some time. I love the Elder Scrolls series and I want this to succeed but I don't see myself playing this at all till I know for sure especially with what they are trying to pull with this cinematic.
