Wednesday is here right in the middle of the week as it always is, and what does that mean? Well it measn I am going to make a list out of something pretty random gaming wise. In making this list I will anger people for not including things they thought should be on the list or things they believed shouldn't have touched the list with a 10 foot pole. So what is the list about this week? Well NPCs, but not the shitty ones the ones we know and love.
There are a few reasons why we love NPCs, they are functional, they help advance the story and advance the story and basically the reason the one of the reason we hate them to death when they just don't help. The other reason we love NPCs is they are the only sign of hope and sanity less you forget everything is trying to kill you, just like in real life. Also we often have to protect them and are a major part of the game. So here you have it my top 5 NPCs
5. Wheatly - Portal 2
The portal series in generally completely changed the way we looked at NPCs. This really is part of the reason the games were so well received and loved. I actually enjoyed the fact you could listen to everything he said advice wise, or you could completely ignore him. That and hewas never short to crack a joke and mkae the game more interesting.
4. Chop Chop Master Onion - Pappa the Rappa
The king of the older style of NPC. The one who was there cheering you on and helping you towards victory. You had to listen to everything he said and he was the one who made you better. He let you know if you were struggling and let you know if you were amazing. The ultimate cheerleader!
3. O'aka - Final Fantasy X
So who was the guy who would always showed up when you wanted him to. All he wanted to do was run a successful shop. You actually wanted to donate to the guy to help fund his shop and this was even before you knew you had to in order to actualyl get him to sell you things. His shop would grow the more the game went on and you were happy for the guy. When I recently replayed FFX I knew I smiled when he said "Welcome to O'aka's!"
2. Clementine - The Walking Dead
One of the first NPCs that actually made me care for them. She had this way with her facial expressions to just really let know now what was up. Also she was part of one of the most heartfelt scenes in all of gaming history the death of Lee.
1. Ellie - The Last of Us
Some people might not even consider Ellie an NPC as there is one point in the game you get to play her. For every other point in the game though she is there cheering, swearing, and making you give a crap about how things will turn out. She really is what you want all NPCs to be.
There you have it this week's list all ready for the cheers and the complaints. Let me know which side you are on!

What's Up Chickenbutt
Wednesday already eh? Seems like the week only just begun. Everyone liking the Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster? Will do my thoughts on it tomorrow but so far it has brought back some memories from years past. Enough of that till tomorrow though. Wednesday means there should be a list coming, and what did I decide for this week's list? Well Cooperative play in a game is something which when done right can be a lot of fun. The game because so much more enjoyable or really an only really be played for fun when it is played with others. So this week I am going to take a look at my favourite Co op games.
5. Portal 2
Never has a brain teaser game been so much fun. Playing this game and all its hilarious portal uses is just an experience in itself. I truly believe we will be hard pressed to ever find a game like this ever again.
4. River City Ransom
Back to my childhood. Really one of the first real non linear type games. This game was really made to be a co op experience which you would want to take part in over and over again. It never got old beating others up with your bat.
3. Magicka
Not only is this game a parody of other games you have played, but really is an entirely different game when playing in co op. Not only that is you actually enjoy destroying your teamates for nothing other then pointless hilarity or maybe because you liked their weapon. Either way the fun factor is one of a kind.
2. Trine
Trine is a game which has everything and the elements of having to use your teammates to complete certain objectives. It is completely team focused and failing is just as fun as succeeding.
1. Contra
Often mistaken as the first ever cooperative game doesn't take away from really how game changing this game was. Not only was it fun to run around shooting everything you came across but the game also involved a challenge. One which ever makes it one of the most difficult games you will ver play. The game was an achievement to defeat and one which involved fist pumping with your buddy when the impossible was finally achieved.
There you go this week's list all done. This was a surprising hard list to come up with as I had to leave some off that I didn't think would actually be possible. I am happy with it though as I am sure experiences while playing the game actually change your view of it. So be sure to let me know yours or what you think of mine.

To Michael
Here we are only 2 days left until PS4 is unleashed onto the world. Do you have a preorder? Or you going to be one of the many who are going to be waiting in line trying to get your hands on one on Friday? If so I wish you the best of luck with that. With that in mind and with Wednesday being all about lists with all things good and bad I thought I would pay homage to PS3. So this week's list is going to be in my opinion the best games ever on the PS3.
5. Batman: Arkham City
4. Portal 2
3. Assassin's Creed Revelations
2. Uncharted 2
1. The Last of Us
5. Batman: Arkham City
This game is honestly the best superhero game I have ever played. I have been hesitant at playing super hero games because they normally aggravate me and the story is often broken and full of holes. They always sell the game by the hero's name and not on actual gameplay. This game changed my opinion on things entirely.
4. Portal 2
Portal 2 is not only one of the best games ever for the PS3 but truly one of the best games I ever played. It is one of those games where you can talk with other gamers for hours and hours. It is a game which I have yet to meet a person who didn't like it. It is an experience all in itself.
3. Assassin's Creed Revelations
The finale to the Ezio trilogy and ever though all the Assassin's Creed games are great in my books Revelations is far and away the best of the bunch. Ezio is one of my favourite video game characters ever made he is just the type of character you want to play when you game. I will never forget the moment when he put down his arms and walked away truly one of the best moments in gaming.
Just like Revelations being far and away the best game among a group of great games Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a masterpiece. Until recently this was the greatest game I have ever played. The story was one you will never forget and left you pushing forward for more and more. There really is no way to describe how great this game truly is. If you have never had the pleasure it is a once in a lifetime gaming experience.
1. The Last of Us
I really went back and forth if this was going to be number 1 or number 2. I thought maybe because I played it more recently it was fresher in my mind and might have skewed my judgement. That is not the case though. This game in my books is not only a masterpiece of work of the PS3, but is the greatest game I have ever played. There really is no more words needed to describe it.
There you go this week's list. I am sure there will be much talk of this one, but realize any mention of CoD just makes you look stupid.
