Turkey Battle

Happy Thanksgiving! Well at least to my Canadian compatriots that is. Some while you are sitting their enjoying your Thanksgiving or wishing you had the day off for Thanksgiving you can enjoy a flashback to a great series in ROFLBear by Myndflame Turkey style.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ask Gauss

Sunday! And first things first I know there wasn't a Reader Post on Friday. It was simply for the fact I didn't have time to go through the entries and give a good read before making the correct choice. I have been busy lately so I apologize and will get back to it next week. Now with that out of the way let's get to this week's questions.

What are your thoughts on the selling of Starcraft Skins?

Well my thoughts on it are simple. Why not? If it gets money into the game that keeps the team employed and keeping the game balanced and patched there shouldn't be an issue with it. They are cosmetic items that you don't have to buy. The game won't be balanced around them so there is no reason to freak out about it. The major thing people should be looking forward to is your mmr being based off of what race you play. Finally we will have split MMR including it for random. This is really what everyone should be talking about.

Why are you so upset about day one patches?

Well I saw that Gears of War 4 was being released with a massive day one patch for those who were buying a hard copy. And if you read any of my blogs this week you would know why. This just isn't good practice and makes the purchase of a hard copy useless. Honestly there didn't even need to be a disc in the box and it would have resulted in the same thing as those buying the digital copy. Gamers are not as upset about these things as they should be and I figured I would light a fire under some people. Hopefully that was accomplished.

So tomorrow is Turkey Day?

Well yes the one that matters.

There you have it this week's questions. Hope you all got something out of it, and to my Canadian Brothers and Sisters hope you are having a great Thanksgiving weekend, to everyone else wish a Canadian a happy Thanksgiving.

You Fail At Not My Turkey Week If...

So here we are the week of American Thanksgiving or how I like to call it Not My Turkey Week. Now I know over the years I have made it a point to continuously poke fun at how this week turns into an absolute mess for all things gaming. I also know that every time I do this my hate mail becomes that much more enjoyable to read. So why should I change anything? So that is why I bring you this fail day.

You Fail At Not My Turkey Week If...

• You have no idea what I am talking about
• You think it is selfish of me to want to actually game during this week
• You don't think the whole whole is laughing at you on Friday
• You don't think I will not mention deep fried turkey while BMing you
• You think raids should be canceled for the entire week
• You think having a holiday on a Thursday makes any sense for planning
• You are actually right now thinking for reasons Thursday is a good day
• You don't realize not everyone cares it is Thanksgiving for you and should adapt to you
• You are wondering why I am not posting ROFLBear videos this week about Mr. Green
• You think now is a good time to level cooking
• Insert Refugee joke here
• You think I care to see a pilgrim cosplay in every game I play
• You use this as an excuse for not getting crap done.
• You are posting pics of you gaming when you are spending all that important time with family

And Finally

• You think I don't find this amusing

There you have it this week's edition of Fail. I can already feel the rage burning inside people!

Ask Gauss

Here we are another Sunday and another Ask Gauss coming your way. This one a little special since it is Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow. You know the real time to celebrate Thanksgiving not the weird time in November that those south of the border celebrate. Ignoring all that though let's get to the questions

Do you think Naughty Dog released the Uncharted series so more non series followers pickup Uncharted 4?

I think that may have something to do with it. I also think though it has something to do with the same reason they released The Last of Us to the PS4. A lot of people who were xbox players didn't have the chance to play the series and this really is there chance to experience, which I believe is the best trilogy out there. So yes marketing aside it is also giving those who didn't have the chance to play on the previous generation to play on this one.

How do you like the medic?

I haven't had the chance to play her myself on the live servers, but from what I have seen and heard she really does work best as a second support because of mana issues. Now this could be because people are using her heal too early and need to play more to get a feel, but it does seem that there may need to be some mana rework of some sort if she is going to play as a solo support

Will there be a turkey day post?

Well I guess  you will just have to wait till tomorrow won't you?

There you have it this week's questions all answered. Thanks to everyone who sent something in and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
