ReplyDeleteThe hour of twilight heroics are in the normal queue as well, and the ilevel restriction isn't removed, you won't get a ZA/ZG pop in the regular queue until your ilevel's over 346, and you won't see HoT until it's over 365.
ReplyDeleteThe real reason why they were nerfed was because they were an outlier. The new heroics are easy enough to be a joke, and the old heroics are outgeared heavily enough and also suffered their own multiple heavy handed nerfs over the past year. ZA/ZG stood in the entertaining spot they shared with T11 heroics, where they were content that was more difficult than the next tier of content, but provided a worse reward. There were issues with tanks and healers wiping the group and then dropping to dodge the deserter debuff is they got ZA/ZG, because they didn't want to waste their time when they could just requeue and get an easier instance.
I believe that was Gauss' point. The were specificly designed to be more difficult because of them being a focus of a patch. Therefore putting them into the main cycle allowed people who would just be good enough get into them even if they did not wish to be
