Weapons! Weapons which are also quite stealthy. That is the name of the game in Assassin's Creed. Not only do you want weapons which can act quickly but ones that can have a major impact. We all know about the Hidden Blade. Something every assassin has, but what about the other weapons? What about the ones which were the flare of the era they were found in? Well that is exactly what my list this week is about.
5. Blunderbuss - Assassin's IV Black Flag
Who doesn't like the shotgun of the pirate era? Not only does it pack a punch and cause massive damage, but it has a pretty sweet look to it as well.
4. Guillotine Gun - Assassin's Creed Unity
In the first DLC to Unity we were given this creation to try out. Not only did the gun itself pack quite the punch but the axe on the end of it made for some fun kills.
3. Poison Dart Gun - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Nothing like a dart to cause a kill that no one is even aware of. Always a good time for Ezio once you got your hand on some of these.
2. Phantom Blade - Assassin's Creed Unity
With the skill required of the dart, but with a little more flare for the dramatic the phantom blade made sure you had some good aim or you were dead in the water.
1. Sword Cane - Assassin's Creed Syndicate
It is a sword cane how is it not awesome? I haven't even played the game yet and I know this one takes the cake.
There it is this week's list for all of you to critique. How did I do? As always let me know some way or another.

Elise's Letters
Happy Monday! If there is such a thing. You know I was looking around for quite some time for something to showcase today. There were a few options, but then I remembered this one. You see one of my favourite parts of Assassin's Creed Unity is when Arno sits down in his room and starts reading the letters Ellise was written him. Now this video overlaps scenes from the game with the letters themselves. Now I will say this video does contain MAJOR SPOILERS for Unity so if you don't want those obvious don't watch it. If you have then I am sure you will enjoy this very much.

You Fail At Dead Kings If...
Fail Day! Yes it is that time of the week once again. Time to sit back and enjoy everyone's failures just so you feel slightly better than you do right now. Last week we got the first look at the first DLC for Assassin's Creed Unity and since it was a free DLC I figured it was the perfect opportunity for a Fail Day.
You Fail At Dead Kings If...
- You don't have Unity
- You have yet to complete Unity and you started it
- You have yet to download it
- You don't like creeping around catacombs
- You don't enjoy multi kills with guillotine guns
- You are not playing it out of spite
- You find it too difficult with the need for "Stealth" in an AC game
- You don't want to synchronize more viewpoints
- You are still working at opening all the chests in Paris
- You have Uplay issues
- You are still wondering where the hell Ezio is
- You thought this was going to be a WWII DLC
- You are still upset there is no pink colour scheme for your assassin colours
and finally
- You didn't know it was free
There you have it this week's edition of Fail. Enjoy your tomb crawling

Tribute To Arno Dorian
So here I am back from my holiday. Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me well on my holidays. Even to those who wished me well but also wished me injury so I could comeback and blog sooner(Looking at you Swifthooves). They are over now I survived and although my liver is still probably recovering it is time to get back in the swing of things. It is Monday, and Monday still is the day of showcasing even if it is a new year. I will warn all of you who haven't finished Assassin's Creed Unity yet as this tribute to the man known as Arno Dorian does contain spoilers from the game. So you were warned.
It is good to be back!

Ask Gauss
Here we are the end of the weekend is coming and we can all be glad we don't live in Buffalo. Unless you do live in Buffalo then I am sorry. All kidding aside it is Sunday and we have some questions to answer so let's get right to it.
So WoW is back to over 10 Million subscribers, what do you think?
Well it might even be closer to 11 since I believe that was done on the 13 and it didn't launch in Asia the same day. I could be wrong though. Regardless jumping 3 million subs for the expansion is quite amazing. Now from playing the expansion and how well it has been put together I am not surprised. It has been a great experience thus far and it has that sort of comeback feeling to the older Warcraft fan that they just have to see what is going on. Now I am interested to see in how it holds the numbers, but only time will tell with that.
Did you hear Unity has been denounced in France?
Now if you are talking about a certain article. Which you can read by clicking here. It is far from being denounced by an entire country. It was one person who does have some issues about the way certain people within the revolution are portrayed in the game. Like any game people can have their opinion but from playing the actual game and reading his comments I tend to think he really didn't play the game and is just reacting in some way to get some sort of publicity. Maybe I am wrong though and if I am be sure to let me know.
How is Inquisition?
Great so far. Will be more on it to come from me for sure though!
There they are the questions for the week. Thanks to everyone who sent something in as always this would not be possible without all of you taking part in it. Keep sending those questions in and answered on here or not I will get to them. Enjoy what is left of your weekend!

Gamer Problems
Right now I am having some a a slight problem gaming wise. I can't remember the last time I had some many games all new that I just want to play. Sure there is times when one game is out and then another the next week, but right now is something else entirely. Now I know most of you will say well you can just play them all at once. I could do that, but that is not really my style. When I get a game I always want to play it want to experience it and want it really be the game I am into at that moment.
I think everyone is that way. You have the game you open it you look at the book you will probably never look at again while something is installing or loading and wondering who in the hell ever reads this book. Then you come to the conclusion that they are only ever read in this exact moment you are reading it.
Having that is just part of the gaming experience it is what makes it what it is. There really is nothing like a new game, and really only gamers understand when you say there is nothing like it. Getting multiple games at one time makes things confusing. There is overlap and insanity ensues and you really are overwhelmed and have no idea what to do.
Right now I have Warlords, Assassin's Creed Unity, Heroes of the Storm, FarCry 4, and Dragon Age Inquisition all wanting their piece of the pie. I have actually sat there during a time I set aside for gaming doing nothing because I have no clue what I should be doing. It really is madness to the next level.
I know I should just pick one stick with it till it is completed then go from there. Then keep a rotation going, and this will probably eventually happen, but it doesn't make this time any easier. Gamer problems how horrible.

Ask Gauss
Sunday! Yes it is here and that means the weekend is almost over. It has been a crazy week so far hasn't it? If you were like me you did a lot of gaming the past week and actually had a pretty damn good time with it. With that in mind seems like the perfect opportunity to do today's duty and answer some questions.
Did you stay up for the Warlords launch?
You know originally I didn't have plans to do so, then but I thought why not. I was glad I did also. Now I didn't go completely sleep deprived but I did plan for 5 hours into the morning when I might have actually been getting up. There was a lot of others there too, but I really like how the starting zone was designed and really gave you the sense that everyone wasn't massed together. Besides the point where the garrison quest was glitched for about an hour everything was smooth. So as far as day 1s go it was a pretty good day.
Are you not doing an Assassin's Creed Unity Review?
I am this week has just been so busy with Assassin's Creed and Warlords releasing I wanted to get content for both of them out. No worries I will post as per the normal the non spoiler review first and let you exactly know what I am thinking about the game. As a quick review I really like the game and the story is progressing nicely, but I am near the start and just doing the collections as first as I like to get that out of the way and enjoy the story in bunches.
Funny how you get into Heroes of the Storm when you have other things to play.
You know I was thinking this exactly.
There you have it questions all answered for the week. Hope your gaming week was as good as my own. Enjoy what is left of your weekend everyone!

What Is In A Review
Here we are on Friday and a Reader Post to go with it. I know all of you are either playing Assassin's Creed Unity or Rogue, or Warlords of Draenor. So I will make this right to the point. So far if you haven't seen Unity hasn't got the best reviews and really I don't understand why since so far I think the game is great and everything I expected it to be. This is the same idea from Fatalfeit the writer of this week's Reader Post. Have a look!
Okay, so after locking Rogue within a metal case and giving the key to my older brother, I was able to finally sit down and play about 5-6 more hours of Unity (joking, of course).
All I can say is, wow. ...What a game. Like, what a DAMN GOOD SEQUEL. I know I've said it in a few others threads, but those were only my first impressions. This time I truly mean it.
What the hell happened with the reviews? Why are they so poor? Were they extremely fatigued on the franchise? Do these people even know what Assassin's Creed is? I know what's a good Assassin's Creed and that's mother-flipping Unity. It's probably the best Assassin's Creed yet, I'm serious. Everything have been improved (except, maybe not the story in comparison to the last few games). The story and characters are good, the gameplay is fantastic, and the graphics are great. Stealth, navigation, and combat are the best they've ever been!
The only real complaint I have are the glitches and performance. But put those aside and Unity is the sequel we've all been waiting for. I mean, how the hell does an Assassin's Creed game like Unity get such poor reception? Especially from Kotaku. It's ridiculous!
And this isn't coming from personal bias, I wasn't looking forward to Unity. You all know my eyes were dead set on Rogue.
For me, Unity takes the top spot of the franchise. This game is the definitive Assassin's Creed experience. Good job, Alex Amancio. I always knew you could deliver the best Assassin's Creed. Now all Ubisoft has to do is pair you up with Darby McDevitt. The reviewers can suck it.
Couldn't have said it better myself! Happy gaming today with whatever you may be up to.

Unity Story Trailer
So the other day I came across this gem of a trailer
Now that I assume you have watched it. What did you think? Now the Assassin's Creed stories have always been well put together. At least the stories from the past. If you like the characters or not(I am looking at all those Conner haters out there) the always progress in a way where the are learning something to achieve the greater good. This, of course, is dependent on the time period of the setting. As someone who is interested in history more than most is probably why the games themselves have always sparked interest to me. When I learn or talk about history I always wonder what it would have like to have been there or seen that and wonder exactly how those around me acted. Sure you can read history books and you get some form of an explanation, but Assassin's Creed at least at the moment gives you one of the best ways to actually see it.
Now I know what many of you are saying out loud or thinking, it isn't real or it at least cannot be proven to be fact. This is true, but that doesn't mean the time and effort which go into making the environments and the history itself match up to real events. To someone like me I very much appreciate the effort put into such things.
This again brings me to this trailer. The French Revolution has always been a part of history which has always been most interesting to me. The people were pushed to the brink and fought no matter the cost to get what they believed they deserved and because they were forced to extremes they acted in such a way which seems crazy and beyond extreme itself. So when I first heard they were doing the French Revolution I was pumped up more than you can imagine. Every trailer makes me think makes me hope of the things we will get to see while playing, and so far I have not been disappointed.

This Was Not Our Destiny
Here we are the 2nd day of September, and what is September good for you ask? Well besides a slight increase in depression with the realization even if you no longer are in school that school has begun it means games are on there way. Every gamer knows summer time is a huge lull in terms of big games being released. With September brings new life into the gaming industry with so many big named games getting set to release. So I figured for my list this week I would list the titles I am most excited to see coming the rest of the year.
5. Dragon Age Inquisition
4. Civilization: Beyond Earth
We will get to play the newest installment of Sid Meier's epic game on the 27th of October. I know some people find turn based games too slow, but to me I just love playing the single player versions of these games just to feel like you are apart of it all.
3. Shadows of Mordor
2. Assassin's Creed Untiy
1. Warlords of Draenor
There are games that just get everyone pumped. I cannot remember the last time I was this excited to play a game. Warlords has everything I could possibly ask for story wise that just gives me those gamer chills. November 13th cannot come soon enough.
There you have it. Do have some which you think should have made the list? Or jsut others which deserve honorable mention? Let me know as always.
5. Dragon Age Inquisition
Slated for October the 7th the newest game in the dragon age series will be available for play. It may just be me and my fascination with dragons, but I love this series and I cannot wait to get my hands on this game.
4. Civilization: Beyond Earth
We will get to play the newest installment of Sid Meier's epic game on the 27th of October. I know some people find turn based games too slow, but to me I just love playing the single player versions of these games just to feel like you are apart of it all.
3. Shadows of Mordor
September 30th will bring us the release of Shadows of Mordor. The game itself has so many customizations and niches just makes me want to try out how they all can workout. Also it takes place in middle earth and who does love that!
2. Assassin's Creed Untiy
Ever since Assassin's Creed was a thing I always hoped they would make one of the games connecting to the French Revolution. Well on November 11th I will get my wish, and I for one cannot wait to see it all first hand.

Unity Comic Con Trailer
Here we are Monday morning wondering why it has to be Monday. This is nothing new though it happens every Monday it really is just the norm. What is also the norm is for me to showcase something for all of you. It is not a normal showcase though. At Comic Con there was a new trailer released for Assassin's Creed Unity. Now normally trailers are never something I would show on Mondays because they are just trailers and nothing really special. This trailer though is something special and you really have to watch it to understand why a trailer like this would change my mind. So have a watch

Ask Gauss
Sunday! Yes you are up enjoying your pancakes and already are all over the net. This really is the world we live in! So what does one do one Sunday morning? Well they come here to find the answers they so dearly seek. So I have decided to give them to you!
If LoL is so overrated why do so many people watch the tournaments?
Honestly, this is a pretty easy question to answer, but again I never said it was a bad game. Wouldn't believe backlash I got for listing it as overrated. Anyways, LoL is free to play meaning everyone has access to it. People who cannot afford other games some of which require more skill, more money, and more time invested to play. So people play what they can and therefore enjoy to watch it. Think of it this way. Soccer and its World Cup was enjoyed by millions around the world, why? Because really anyone can play, the equipment required to participate is minimal and therefore easy to pick up, know the rules, and follow along. Does this make soccer the best sport in the world because so many people watched it? Of course not.
Have you seen the new Assassin's Creed Unity Trailer?
For those who haven't
Now as most of you know I not only enjoy the Assassin's Creed games because of the story and gameplay, but because history has always been something that has always had a massive interest to me. This trailer speaks to that interest of mine and makes you feel as if you are right their during the revolution, and to me it makes it nearly perfect in all respects.
Naxx on Tuesday!
Yes I've heard. Got to keep stockpiling that gold of mine.
There you have it questions all answered for the week. Enjoy what is left of your weekend everyone!

Look, I Have My Own Bucket!
Here we are in the middle of the week and what is everyone doing? Well I assume everyone is checking out E3 and what we all have to look forward too. There has been tons of information being put out there and I jsut like all of you are excited for what is coming. So it was pretty simple for me to put together a list of all the things E3 has made me excited about. So here it is.
5. Shadow of Mordor
What can I say about this. As most of you know fantasy is something that always has and always will interest me, and when the fantasy story which basically started it all has a game I will be right there in line to buy it. This game though has so many interesting systems to it makes me quite excited to sit down and play it.
4. The Division
How can you not watch this trailer and not be pumped up for it. Every year at E3 something surprises me and this is this years surprise. When watching this I knew nothing about the game and now I find myself wanting to know more and wanting to see what it is all about.
3. The Witcher 3
So many of us have been waiting for this game for what has seemed to be an eternity. This games release date seems to be further away every time I see it. Still does not change the fact that I am beyond pumped to get my hands on it.
2. Assassin's Creed Unity
All of you know if you have ever been here that I have a love for the Assassin's Creed series. Bringing History and gaming together is something I just appreciate. Again a game which seems way too far away, but I know will be worth the wait.
1. Uncharted 4
Uncharted is truthfully one of my favourite series containing one of my favourite characters in gaming history. The story is always involved and the gameplay has always been the right combination of difficulty and fun. This is the game I wanted to see something from at E3 and I wasn't disappointed.
So there it is. What I am most excited from after all the E3 madness. What about you? What did you like what did you wish you saw and didn't? Let me know as always.

Ask Gauss
Sunday! Only a couple days away from Reaper of Souls as well. Anyone else more than ready to get playing? I know I can't be the only one. So since my pancakes are all finished and cleaned up after why don't we do what we do on Sundays and answer some questions. Also if you are still not sure of how to send in your questions all the ways are listed on the top right of the page or you can just send an email to gaussafication@gmail.com. Now let's do this thing.
So what are you most excited for with Reaper of Souls?
Honestly there really isn't anything I am not looking forward to with this expansion. I know that is such a dumb answer but it is true. Adventure mode is going to make farming and gaining Paragon more exciting. Rifts are going to do the same thing but also add a challenge to the game which has been needed even in previous iterations of the game. The story itself is something I have been going over in my head over and over trying to figure out how all of this came to be. Then the Crusader looks like a pretty fun class to play to add to my arsenal of heroes.
So as you can see everything I am looking forward to. I think though if I had to pick one it would be adventure mode it really isn't fun to create games over and over for farming purposes and this really is going to make that not be the case. I like to actually do something and not mindless farm things. Just as I hate grinding in any game if you can make it more interesting I am all for it.
Did you happen to see the new alpha video for the next Assassin's Creed game?
Oh I did. For those who haven't.
French Revolution is such an interesting time frame as well. Now I know people are saying it will probably be the same old gameplay just with a different story and slightly different weapons. Really though that is the essence of the Assassin's Creed games. Experiencing the history of the world for the eyes of an assassin in the world they came from.
So SimCity released Offline mode this week?
Yes because releasing a pointless thing in this day in age is important to people.
There they are questions answered for the week. Enjoy what is left of your weekend everyone and prepare for Death!
