So What's The Plan?

Weapons! Weapons which are also quite stealthy. That is the name of the game in Assassin's Creed. Not only do you want weapons which can act quickly but ones that can have a major impact. We all know about the Hidden Blade. Something every assassin has, but what about the other weapons? What about the ones which were the flare of the era they were found in? Well that is exactly what my list this week is about.

5. Blunderbuss - Assassin's IV Black Flag

Who doesn't like the shotgun of the pirate era? Not only does it pack a punch and cause massive damage, but it has a pretty sweet look to it as well.

4. Guillotine Gun - Assassin's Creed Unity

In the first DLC to Unity we were given this creation to try out. Not only did the gun itself pack quite the punch but the axe on the end of it made for some fun kills.

3. Poison Dart Gun - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Nothing like a dart to cause a kill that no one is even aware of. Always a good time for Ezio once you got your hand on some of these. 

2.  Phantom Blade - Assassin's Creed Unity

With the skill required of the dart, but with a little more flare for the dramatic the phantom blade made sure you had some good aim or you were dead in the water.

1. Sword Cane - Assassin's Creed Syndicate

It is a sword cane how is it not awesome? I haven't even played the game yet and I know this one takes the cake.

I'll Miss You..

So here we are Wednesday only 4 days from Sunday and the Season Premier of Game of Thrones. Now if you don't watch Game of Thrones you should. Even if it doesn't follow the books completely it is still far and away the best show on television. If you don't watch it you will not know that it is know for some of the most shocking deaths anywhere. So when coming up for this week's list I thought I would share what I believe are the most shocking deaths in Video Games. Now this is obvious but spoilers.

5. John Marston - Red Dead Redemption

So John is a criminal that is made obvious by the get go. He is willing to give up the other criminals for his family to have a chance at a better life. After he does what he is told the very man who was supposed to give him his freedom betrays him and he his killed brutally by an onslaught of bullets

4. Joker - Arkham City

So Batman doesn't kill anyone. That really is a Batman thing it doesn't happen, but then this happened. Even if it was by accident it still happened, and I will never stop being shocked that this happened.

3. Lucy - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

So this is the girl that saved you. Brought you to some other Assassin's and lead you on to the path for better things. Then all of the sudden your body loses control from this other weird being and you stab her. Granted you find out later she was a double agent, but ya that happened.

2. Aerith - Final Fantasy VII

Not sure you could do anything with Video Games and Death and not include this scene. This afterall had all the shock value. Even with the graphics of the day you could see and feel the intensity of the scene and the shock value when our favourite big baddie pulled the sword out of her.

1. Lee Everett

You could probably include the shock value from the moment he got bit. You were left wondering if you messed up and what you were going to do. Then, of course, with Clementine shooting him in the end you are just left with what in the living hell did I just play.

There you have it my choices for the most shocking deaths in video games. Not sure if it is the best tribute to Game of Thrones, but it was an attempt. Do you have any shocking deaths you thought should have been included? As always bitch about it in some way or another.

Well Butter My Biscuit

So have you ever started playing a game thinking it wasn't going to be very good, or at least not as good as everyone was saying? Then after playing it you were surprised at how much you enjoyed it. Well that is what this week's list is going to be all about. Games I only decided to play because I felt it was necessary to play them. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I ended up liking them. So here they are.

5. Magicka

So I had heard for awhile that this game was actually fun. From all the trailers it looked amusing, but never really decided to actually play it. When I did I not only found the game fun and entertaining but there was some difficulty to it within the single player game. You had to think a midst all the hilarity which gets thrown around.

4. Dark Cloud

So the concept of the gaming sounded interesting. It was an Action Role Playing game and it included some city building as well. It had an interesting concept. The character though looked almost like Link and I started to get scared. I picked it up and was quite impressed how they tied everything together and how I was able to forget how much Toan looked like Link.

3. Legend of the Dragoon

When LoD came out I was a skeptic. The game was being released by Sony and it was getting rave reviews from sources which were linked to Sony. Regardless I picked up the game and everything which was said was true. The game had a story any RPG would love to have along with a combat system in a turn based style which I hope one day will make its way back.

2. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

The Assassin's Creed games while connected were not true sequels. Sure the current time period was connected to one another but part 2 brought in a new Assassin's known as Ezio one of my favourite gaming characters ever. I was scared when Brotherhood was announced because I didn't want them to ruin the character. Well they didn't ruin him they did the impossible and made him better. Brotherhood was far and away a better game than ACII which was a great game itself.

1. World Of Warcraft

I was a fan of Warcraft since Orcs and Humans and although MMOs were not a new thing they were new. I had played EQ and Final Fantasy XI and I really wasn't a fan. I didn't like the style. I figured I would play WoW and then complained how they ruined one of my favourite gaming series by turning it into and MMO. I ended up playing WoW for 7+ years and from it this blog was even born from my adventures within it. I probably would still be playing if I had the time to commit to play the way I feel it needs to be. World of Warcraft by far was the biggest surprise from any game I ever played.
