You Fail At Not Paying Attention To Gaming During Your Holiday If...

So here I am starting things all over again back from my Birthday Holiday. Was a good time. Definitely need time to just step away and enjoy things. So for those who missed me I am back. To those who thought I would never be back well HA I sure showed you! I will though on this fail day pay tribute to my holiday on how it was hard to stay holiday focused.

You Fail At Not Paying Attention To Gaming During Your Holiday If...
  • Gamescon was happening
  • World of Warcraft decides to announce their next expansion
  • There were new heroes and skins added to Heroes of the Storm
  • You wanted to know what this Grand Tournament was all about
  • You ended up in a retro games store
  • You had a heated discussion on why SimCity is better than the Sims
  • Someone gives you a new video game to play
  • Someone wants you to play a game with them
  • Someone wants you to show them how to beat something
  • You got so many mosquito bites you had to stay inside one day
  • You realized some video games aren't hard to play while hungover
  • You end up trying to explain the "You Must Construct Additional Pylons" Card in Cards Against Humanity

and finally
  • You needed an idea for a fail day post when you came back

There you have it this week's edition of fail. Hope you all enjoyed it and it is good to be back!

Birthday Break

So all of you may or may not know that the 26th of July is my Birthday. If you didn't then now you do. With that in mind I am going to be taking a short break from blogging for my Birthday starting today. After my short holiday I will be back with everything you know and love about my posting. Hopefully you don't all miss me too much and can go about your day without feeling like something is missing!

Happy Birthday to me!

You Fail At Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

Here we are the first Fail Day of the New Year. Instead of talking about all that new year new me bullshit I am going to focus on the more important things. This week's Fail Day is all about getting back into your gaming routines after you have been out of them for the holidays so here we go.

You Fail At Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things If...
  • You have no memory of the story in the games you were playing
  • Your chair just isn't right to sit in because you are heavier
  • Your arm is still cramped up from all the Wii Sports you have been playing
  • Somehow all your controls are dead
  • You are short a HDMI cable
  • Updates, updates everywhere
  • You left all your games somewhere else because you thought you were going to play them
  • You still hate dailies
  • You are too slow for muliplayer
  • You seem to be the only one who had a holiday break
  • Fire gives you haste
  • Your left and right clicking is skewed
  • You are clicking to move in an RTS

and finally
  • No one got you a new mouse pad

There you have it this week's edition of fail. I am back and ready to go with all the daily madness which follows it and glad to have you around for it.

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday everyone! Now normally on a Monday I like you some sort of video for Machinima Monday. Don't worry I am still going to do that. It also is the Carbot Christmas special which really is in itself something special. Before you go ahead and watch that just wanted to let all of you know I am going to be taking a blog break for the Holidays. Don't worry I will be back in full force come 2015 and I am not going to drift away into nothingness. I hope everyone no matter if you have been a long time reader or not or even if you play a Ret Pally have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Yes I know that was that amazing!

Not My Turkey Day Part II

So last year I made a post complaining about how on American holidays the world comes to an end. That not only do you use the one day that you make an entire event about the whole thing. I concluded this is why you have holidays on Thursday so you can take the Friday off, but then you need the Wednesday off to travel. I also went on the complain how this makes raiding during this entire week impossible because all the Americans cannot be there on a variety of days. With this being the end of Wrath there is no raiding going on. So sadly I cannot complain about that.

I went on to complain about football and a bunch of other things and it was mainly just a crazy rant where I just said whatever came into my head, kinda like now, and people loved it. Once again today is not my turkey day, because Canadians celebrate and do things when they make sense. We don't give out Valentines day chocolates in July and our biggest sales of the year are on Boxing Day not the day after Thanksgiving known to you all as "Black Friday". Why is it called Black Friday anyway? Is it because you will give that guy a black eye if he takes your spot in line? Honestly, I don't know why it is called Black Friday so feel free to explain it to me.

Also I cannot get over the fact that someone had this brilliant idea to deep fry a turkey. This would be like someone in WoW deciding that shaman can tank because he uses a shield. I guess it made sense to someone.

So let's relate this rant to WoW somehow. I'd complain about Pilgrim's Bounty not being in October. but that would be to easy. I guess I could say something about random queues being to long because of less people, but that would be dumb since the only people going into randoms are getting rep for the goblin mount. That makes me think how long are Alliance random queues at the moment?

Sadly though with it being an end to an expansion there really is nothing to complain about. I know the world is coming to an end. Ok so that wasn't funny. Mostly because a lot of you won't get it. Anyways, Happy American Thanksgiving, may you eat so much that I will have to hear about it for days upon days. I guess I am thankful for something on your Thanksgiving, thankful that I have nothing to complain about.

Happy Valentines Day

So today is Valentines Day. The day we empty our pockets to make that special someone feel extra special. Or in WoW context waste all your gold for a completely unknown purpose. I could go on an write about how I hate this holiday and how it is completely commercial and basically serves no purpose besides to line peoples pockets. This would be the natural Gauss thing to do along with some how relating it to how ret pallys failing, Bagellord being horrible and of course how Wally is a tool. I would do that people would laugh, complain I went to far, and of course some would say not far enough. I would do this and everyone would be happy for the most part. I am not going to this though. Even with all of its faults this holiday is what it is. That person whoever they are really deserves that day so I am going to let them have it, even if it costs me. So I will give you something you can all sing to that special someone along with a pretty epic screenshot.
.

You're the one I love to be with
The one who feels so right
You're the one I think of when I wake
And dream of every night
You're the one who leaves me breathless
The one who makes me proud
You're the one who can both drive me mad
Or make me laugh out loud
You're the one who makes my heart beat fast
And when its said and done
There is no ifs or buts or maybes
Because baby you're the one.

Happy Valentines Day to my special someone and to everyone else, may it be everything you expect and more.

Next Friday's reader post will have to do with excuses you have heard for leaving a guild. I know there are some great ones so you have until Thursday night to get them in. I look forward to hearing them.
