What I Disliked About Questing and Leveling

So it is the weekend and I thought since many people will be getting a chance to play a lot this weekend I decided to tell you all what I have disliked about the questing in Cataclysm so far.

Phased Nodes Are On The Map: Ever try to find a fishing pool you know is there but you can't reach it. Apparently when you are phased nodes can spawn on either end of the phase. I really don't know if this was a problem in Wrath, but it has happened already a few times to me so far. I have no problem with nodes being on one side or the other, but when I am tracking such a node it would be great if I didn't track the ones on the "other side".

Harpies: need I say more?

Leader of the Troggs: For anyone who has quested in Deepholm you know exactly what I am talking about. How many leaders of the troggs can there really be? It seemed like at one point you were killing the leader of the Troggs every third quest.

Spawn rates: In the starting zones this is a great idea especially for the masses of people. It makes the questing experience so much less aggravating then when you are spending 10 minutes at a time waiting for a mob to spawn. I know the spawn rates are temporary, which is also a great thing, but having the insane spawn rate in Twilight Highlands caused many deaths. I know some servers are more populated than others and it would probably be difficult to adjust spawn times per server per zone, but this was getting very frustrating in the later zones.

Was Too Quick: It just took people way too short a time to get to 85. I have no problems with the amount of content but getting slightly less experience probably would have made the experience that much better.

Well that is pretty much what I disliked. How about you? Be sure to let me know your thoughts. Enjoy your weekend and Cataclysm.

  2. Getting to 85 in no time kinda sucked.
