Ask Gauss

Happy Halloween everyone on this day of the week known as Sunday. Sunday being the day that it is time for Ask Gauss. Where I go through all my mail for the week and pick a few questions to answer for you. For those who don't know how to get a hold of time or cannot find the link at the top of the page it is So getting that out of the way let's get to the questions shall we.

With Azeroth changing forever or at least before it all goes down what do you think is the best looking zone in the game?

Well since you are referring to the expansion I guess that means I have to exclude Nagrand, Howling Fjord, and Grizzly Hills. In the "Old" world I really enjoy Mulgore and not just because I play a tauren. The land is such a tranquil place. There are so many dropbacks around and just flying around in what we currently can on the flight masters you can see all of this. The land itself is really untouched by major civilization, which makes it more appealing to the eye visually.

I am sure though when they change the zones around Desolace and Feralas are going to shoot up my list rather quickly of zones you want to just visit to look at.

Without giving away too much does the novel "The Shattering" help us understand things more in game?

In a simple word yes. Anyone who reads it will get a much different picture of Garrosh and his motives. Not to mention Varian's son plays a large role in the novel as well. Basically it is a great way to understand all the events leading up to Deathwing's entrance into the world. I haven't finished it as of yet, but from what I have read this is what it seems to be doing. Now patch 4.0.3 is called "The Shattering" so I am not entirely sure if the events of the book will take place just as they did in the book in game. I guess only time will tell us this.

If a kid came to your door with Paladin, what would you do?

Inform his parents that they are banned from procreating.

That is it for this week. If you have a question you know where to send them. Next week's Reader's Post will be about those things you do in WoW that no one really knows about. Could be places, NPCs, or anything like that. The Log ride is the perfect example. As always you have till Thursday night to get those in for a chance to be included.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The New Water Effects

So with the new water effects being in place I have a new favourite thing to do with my free time. I go to Grizzly Hills in addition to still doing my pointless fishing to try and get myself a Sea Turtle mount I head to the logging camp where I do one of the most fun but unknown things in all of WoW. If you don't know what I am speaking about it is none other than "The Log Ride". This is where the NPC gives you a log to ride all the way from the logging camp to Venture Bay. You fly over the water falls down the rivers and now with the updated graphics it really is a visual ride also.

To all those who have no idea what I am talking about. Feel free to go to the logging camp and find the NPC at the top of one of the log shoots, talk to him get your log and then just enjoy the ride. Also don't feel bad if you want to go up and do it again and again. It really is that fun. So fun that if WoW was "real" this would be one of the first things that I would go do given the choice of anything in the game.

There are also so many backdrops which are much more visual then before. STV around ZG and the coastline itself look great with water and sunshaft effects. These are just a few things that are looking better and are more visual. Anything you have noticed?

Enjoy your weekend! And Gimm I might be a little late the Leafs play today at 7:00, but I will be there for the SS vs TM fun.

Future Storylines

It is Friday for those that live in a box and need to be told what day of the week it is. With Friday, of course, brings the Reader Post. The post that is made by all of you readers and your contributions. This week I asked for submissions of what storyline you are most looking forward to with Cataclysm. So time to get to it.

The Goblin storyline is something which I am really excited for. It is something that is so similar to what happened to many poor Europeans doing the colonial days. Trying to get to the new world only to become slaves. Although in this case they get freed in the fluke event that their ship is wrecked by alliance cannon fire trying to destroy Horde ships. truly well thought out and can't wait to be a part of it.

Metzen said "Thrall is the most important person on Azeroth and doesn't even realize it". He also hinted at the fact that he could be a replacement to Deathwing in the Dominion of Earth. I have always thought the character of Thrall in terms of Lore is one of the most amazing and complex. Now that story gets expanded upon and I cannot wait.

I always thought Genn Greymane was this idiot in all the novels and reacted in some of the most inconsiderate and uncompassionate ways. Now he is one of the leaders of the Alliance with a very emotional leader in Varian. It will be interesting to see how the two of them interact with one another.

Deathwing is evil. Illidan there will always be a story of redemption that would be a possibility. Love or hate Arthas you just knew there was some of "Arthas" left over. There is nothing like that for Deathwing. He is the what a Villain should be. There is no doubt there is no chance for redemption there is only death and destruction. How can one not look forward to unlocking more of this amazing story of one of the "chosen" falling so far from grace.

I am interested in the CoT instance and developing more information about the Infinite dragonflight. Is it really Nozdormu or is it someone else behind them? I really hope we get some sort of answers since we were told the "family" will be coming together to defeat Deathwing.

The storyline in Cataclysm I'm most looking forward to is the tale of "Gauss and Gimm Going Around the World Killing Each Other". With flying now available in the old world, the potential to swoop down upon one's worthy opponent, kill them, and take off. The story will probably pick up on January 1st at, oh, 2 server time, because most everyone will be sober by then, with Gauss picking a fight somewhere in a storied Alliance city. Gimm will attempt to defend and die spectacularly. Thus will be born another chapter in the saga and new statistics will need to be created, "Number of attempts by Gimm to stop a raid" and "Number of times I killed Gimm as she attempted to stop a raid". Blizzard can't possibly top that storyline.

That is it for this week. As always if you want to make a submission look for the weekly topic every Sunday during the Ask Gauss post and then by the following Thursday send your submissions to

Enjoy your weekend!

Acting With Certainty

As with anything, something always comes around which is better than something else. Makes you think, makes you wonder, and you just become so involved in trying to figure it out. Maybe this is just me as a Mathematician, maybe it is not. I came across this machinima, and not only did I think is was absolutely perfect and wonderfully done, but it had what I was telling you above. There is just something about it that makes it one of a kind. If you have ever watch any machinima I can promise you would have seen nothing like this. Always when I make a post about machinima I will tell you my thoughts of the story and the video itself, but I am not going to do it this time. I want you all to watch it and pay attention and see what you can figure out from it. I have watched this many times and I find out more every time I watch it. I know you all will become involved in this as well and try to figure out "Acting with Certainty".

As the machinimator writes:

"I don't like to talk about Acting With Certainty too much because it's essentially a non-verbal experience. It attempts to communicate more to the subconscious and to the feelings than it does to the intellect. I think clearly there's a problem with people who are not paying attention with their eyes. They're listening. And they don't get much from listening to this film. Those who won't believe their eyes won't be able to appreciate this film." - Stanley Kubrick\Paus"

So without waiting any longer view what I will glad say is the best Machinima I have ever seen.

Tell me what you think, but try not to give things away to people who haven't seen it or figured it out. Reminder tonight is your last chance to get in your submissions for tomorrows Reader Post. The topic this week is what storyline you are most looking forward to come Cataclysm.

If You Hated The Fel Reaver In Outland

So everyone who ever leveled in Hellfire knows the "oh crap Fel Reaver" feeling. He would come out of no where and kill you as if he had some sort of stealth abilities. Well Blizzard has decided to do something even better.

One of Azeroth's oldest adversaries will soon tear through the Elemental Plane to reforge the world in flame, but this foe won't be conducting his reign of terror from the confines of a castle or lair. Deathwing is a destructive force the likes of which adventurers have yet to see in World of Warcraft, and his appetite for devastation can only be satisfied by the shattering of the world. Following his explosive escape from Deepholm, Deathwing will cast a deadly shadow over the people of Azeroth as he wreaks indiscriminate havoc across the land.

Once free to terrorize the world, Deathwing will randomly choose territories in Azeroth to attack each day until his ruinous reign is brought to an end. A blackened sky will be the only warning before every living creature caught in his approach is consumed by his terrible fire. The unfortunate victims of his malice will receive a rare Feat of Strength... as well as a repair bill and corpse run.

When Deathwing returns, you'd best keep your eyes on the skies.

So you could be randomly do anything from picking herbs, grinding, or ganking lowbies when all of the sudden BOOM. It looks like everyone will have their own "The Day Deathwing Came" stories. It will be something that we will talk about endlessly throughout the expansion. I was just minding my own business when Deathwing came owned the zone and killed the mobs I was farming for that rare pet. What would actually be hilarious is the day of launch, at like 1am, he comes in the starter zone and kills everyone and everything. Can you think of the madness that would follow? All the NPCs and Mobs would be dead. No one could level or do anything except wait for respawns. Now that would be something really epic to remember.

For once people will be proud to display their oh crap moments. Would love a statistic on this "Killed by Deathwing". Enjoy yourselves and tell me what you think.

You Fail At Being A Druid If...

It is Tuesday, everyone's favourite day of the week. The day where people check in to see what will be today's Fail topic. Keeping with the theme of Fail Day the past few weeks I am moving on to the Druid. So sit back and get ready to poke fun at all your druid friends.

You Fail At Being A Druid If...
  • You complain about being sheeped
  • You don't have an argument to why you should be rolling on those cloth boots
  • You don't have 8 sets of gear for 4 different specs 2 of which you will never use
  • You don't dance every time you enter moonkin form
  • You don't have at least 8 buttons bound to moonfire
  • You have no idea what "happy fun time druid" means
  • You are resto and don't have ADD
  • You find running the flag in WSG difficult
  • You don't rape raid members companion pets while waiting for pulls
  • There is another tank in the raid with more HP than you
  • You argue against cyclone being the most overpowered CC in the game
  • You have no problem with being able to pick herbs in flight form
  • You complain your class has no versatility
  • You think it is one of the harder classes to play

and finally

  • You tried to be cool and use flight form just before you hit the ground but died

That is it for this Fail Day. Enjoy pushing this upon all the druids you know. I know they will appreciate my insight. If you are raiding this week, enjoy your reset.

The Movie Contest

Anyone who hasn't seen all Movie Contest winners you can watch them all here. Now they are all good but to me the 2nd place video is by far the greatest story of them all. I just find the "Love Rocket" the one which came in first place to be rather cheesy and a feel good story. I think maybe "I AM FORSAKEN" takes a path that Blizzard doesn't want to go down. This may also be the reason that Melvenor's "Home, Sweet Andorhal" didn't even place, since in my opinion was better written and put together than any of them. There is talk that these forsaken videos woobifies the forsaken into something they are not. To me this isn't true at all.

There is a difference to being all happy about being undead and having Sunday morning pancakes then making the people pay for the life you are now living. Sylvanas is the prime example of this. She accepts what she has been given, but of course she wanted to seek revenge against Arthas and those who would stand against her now. The Forsaken themselves are a redemption story. Hence their name "Forsaken" they were castoffs. These were once members of the Alliance which now wants nothing to do with them. Imagine how that would effect you. It would be like you losing everyone you knew because someone came a shot off half your face. You lived but no one wants anything to do with you.

So because of this attitude 1 movie, which of course should have been included with the winners is excluded and of the movies included in the winners circle the best one didn't even win. Maybe it is just me though. Watch the 4 videos in the from the link above and then watch the movie below and honestly tell me which is the best.

Ask Gauss

It is Sunday, which means it is time for Ask Gauss. The day of the week where I go through and pick questions to answer for you all. For those who don't know how to submit a question there is a link in the upper right corner or you can just send me an email at So without making you all wait any longer here goes.

What was your favourite part of Blizzcon?

Besides the kid breaking his leg in the dance contest? I have always enjoyed the lore panel mostly because we get hints of where the story is heading. We learned so much of the story that is going to happen. Thrall could be the next Aspect of Earth, Kalecgos is going to be the new Aspect of Magic, Thrall is going to meet someone and finally end the stupid Jaina rumors, Illidian redemption is possible, and when you see Deathwing in Cataclysm he will kill you and not just say next time he will. So many stories all coming to the forefront and definitely a great time to get involved in the lore of the game. So ya I think that was probably my favourite part of Blizzcon.

The Cataclysm Cinematic didn't have Worgens and Goblins in it, what you think about that?

I am 100% glad they were not in it. Think about the Burning Crusade trailer where they showcased Illidan, the draenei and blood elves. It seemed to much and didn't get much out of it. Then compare it to the Lich King and Cataclysm cinematics. You actually saw the story of what was about to happen. What you will be going through and what you will be facing. Deathwing is a super badass they want you to understand that. I think the cinematic did an excellent job of showing off Deathwing and all he stands for. Not to mention made me want Blizzard to do a CG movie.

Was the stream for Blizzcon worth it?

I enjoy many of the panels, contests, and tournaments so for me it is worth it. For someone who is just interested in a couple things I would say just watch it on youtube the following days.

That is it for this week remember your question can't be answered if you don't send it in. Next week's Reader Post is going to be about the Storyline in Cataclysm you are most looking forward to.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend.

The Dance Contest

So for all of you who didn't get the chance to watch the dance contest I will give you some information before you go out and watch it on youtube. First of all the guy who won by doing the Dwarf Male dance, just wow that really was something to watch. The ninja crew doing the Goblin Male was also pretty good. What is everyone going to remember about the dance contest though? Well it is already all over youtube.

Yes he went out their and "broke a leg" maybe he took the expression to seriously. "So Daniel, how did you break your leg?" I was dancing in the dance contest at Blizzcon and while I was rocking out I fell. So at least he will always be remembered and be "that guy" they talk about every year. Remember last year? Now you have to sign a waiver before you go out there and compete in the dance contest we don't want another "Daniel from Arizona" to happen this year. To all of you who think it is wrong for me to be laughing about someone breaking their leg, did you see his face when he was being carried off? He knew then this would be a moment that he would never live down in his life. I am just helping to make sure that it never is.

Enjoy the last day of Blizzcon and your weekend.

Fun, Fun, and More Fun

It is Friday, first day of Blizzcon for those interested, and with it being Friday it is time for the Reader Post. This week I asked people to submit some of the fun times they have had since 4.0.1 has hit. So let's hear about some of the fun.

I have enjoyed playing a getting a max level rogue without ever playing a rogue. I am referring to my pally who has basically the mechanics of a rogue. It has been kinda fun and I haven't completely decided if I like it or not, but I am sure there are plenty of people who are complaining and plenty of people who you can make fun of.

I have enjoyed being completely overpowered as a mage. I am doing stupid amounts of damage and I am feeling like I am the a DPS God. I am hoping it stays this way because I am liking the play style and who doesn't like owning face?

The Zoo. Otherwise known as my stable. I have a insane amount of pets and no word of a lie I went to to figure out what I was going to name them all. Yes, you can make fun but I refuse to have a pet named "Cat" or "Owl". I am liking the fact I can call pets out of the blue and supply a variety in regards to raid buffs. This plus all of the focus changes I am loving the hunter as a whole.

4.0.1 has made me want Cataclysm to come out tomorrow. Not just because the earthquakes or all that crazy crap, but because it is unbalanced to all hell and I am not really a fan of being super OP or super underpowered. So bring on some more events and let Cata get here ASAP to satisfy my inner nerd.

I have enjoyed spending 10,000g reforging and gemming a countless amount of times. I know AH fiends like yourself are probably loving people like me, but I don't care. You realize that this is the first time in I cannot remember that I have enjoyed specing, glyphing, and gemming because it is new and exciting. I am going to the dummy and actually testing things out and having fun with it. So you can count your gold, but it has been awesome.

That is it for this week. As always look for next week's Reader Post topic on Sunday during Ask Gauss and get those submissions in by Thursday night to have a shot at being included.

Enjoy Blizzcon and enjoy your weekend!

Blizzcon 2010

Since today is Thursday and generally most weeks have Friday coming after Thursday and with Friday being the Reader's Post I will post my Blizzcon stuff, which beings tomorrow, today. So if upon reading that sentence you have no clue what I was saying it translates into "I am posting Blizzcon stuff today and not tomorrow since I have a post planned for tomorrow".

So Blizzcon. What I always look forward to is the contests, those being the costume, sound alike, and dance contest. I always enjoy watching people making idiots of themselves, trying to win a prize. Some people actually are pretty intense about the competition and take it insanely serious. This is especially true in the dance contest. If you are not getting the feed or going then check them out on youtube after they are over I promise you won't be disappointed.

Another thing I am looking forward to is Cataclysm discussion which is going to take place. Revealing more information about the game itself since, we are drawing so close to the release date. The class panel is always interesting along with the open questions of the audience. It really shows you how much effort they put into making the game what it is. Ghostcrawler also seems to enjoy doing it as well. It is not something that is like pulling teeth for him or his team. They like that you enjoy their game and want you to understand why they have done the things that they have done.

Last thing I am looking forward to is the "big announcement" there is always one. Last year the big one being that the next Expansion was Cataclysm. So time to sit back and wait and see. I'll be sure to get all the Blizzcon information I can into Saturday's blog till then sit tight.

Raiding A Success?

So yesterday we went into ICC and despite all the changes that everyone has gone through with all the class and spec differences, and not to mention people being completely bored with content we had a successful raid. We were not only able to raid, but we were able to complete heroic modes as if the patch really never happened. Although I was scared on Marrowgar since the first two sets of bone spikes only spiked one person and the other 2 people who "would" have been spiked instantly died(nice glitch there btw).

I was quite impressed with how high the DPS was beating our old Deathbringer and Festergut records by 45 seconds. Healing seemed to be a little bit more difficult at least from seeing the HPS numbers. They don't seem to be as high as they were pre patch, but it is managable. With the increase in health pools this isn't much of an issue, but I guess we will see when we do Dreamwalker this evening. I made it a short raid because it went so well and we stopped just after Plague. I think the main thing was people after the raid telling me that it was the first time in awhile that they were having a lot of fun raiding. To me this is a great thing, since with all the content seeming old it is difficult to have a great time raiding at the moment.

With only really, maximum, 2 weeks left on my guild's raiding schedule before Cataclysm this is a great thing to be experiencing. To be stopping because it is a choice and not because something is forced upon us.

You Fail At Being A Mage If...

Welcome to yet another Tuesday and yet another weekly infusion of fail. This week I will take the dive into the mage class. Our brothers and sisters in blue and all their current OPness. So without waiting any longer to get your firepower let us get to the fail.

You Fail At Being A Mage If...
  • You have never played Portal Roulette with your raid members
  • You don't appreciate the ability to cast a table
  • You lose to a warrior in a duel
  • You ever had 71 points in frost
  • You cast living bomb on a Mind controlled target
  • Your mirror images are better at assisting then you
  • Your polymorph is set to sheep
  • You have issues farming or making gold
  • You don't replace your 1 and 2 keys on your keyboard at least once a month
  • You were a fire mage in Molten Core
  • Wally is your idol because of his ability to play a mage
  • You complain leveling is time consuming
  • You do poorly in arena
  • You think mages weren't buffed enough with 4.0.1
  • The name of your toon has anything to do with Harry Potter

and finally

  • You think a mage is hard to play

That is it for this week. I think our blues friends had it coming. Reminder if you didn't know go pick up your copy of "The Shattering" it is the new Warcraft book and deals with all of the pre-Cataclysm Lore. I haven't started reading it, but it is sitting beside me. I will be sure to tell you all my thoughts at one time or another. Happy Reset if your guild is still into that and happy Trick or Treating regardless.

Oh My That Is One Pissed Off Dragon

I am, of course, refering to this

This can be really only be referred to as EPIC. Deathwing as I have been stating for months is really the ultimate villain. He hates everyone and everything, and his only goal is to destroy Azeroth and everything it stands for. We also get a full look at all the destruction that will come. The scene outside of Booty Bay and the tidal wave along with him letting all of Stormwind know how pissed off he is. By far the best Cinematic Blizzard has done, and I thought the Lich King one was being amazing in itself. This just tells you how awesome I think this one is. For those that couldn't wait to see Cataclysm then watch this it just makes December 7th seem so much further away.

Try not to keep watching it over and over.

Ask Gauss

So it is Sunday and to take words out of someone's mouth, Deal with it! Anyways, on Sunday as most people who have read anything I write know, today is Ask Gauss. The day where I go through the wonderful thing known as "mail" and answer questions I have been asked. Of course, I cannot answer them all, so I choose 3. So here goes.

How do you think the release of 4.0.1 went?

Well I don't know how many of you experienced the previous .0 patches, but in relation. 2.0 was a nightmare nothing worked, tons of in game mechanics were buggy, and the world server was going up and down for days. This was normal for all the patch days of old. We all had gotten used to it. 3.0 was much better except for the fact 70% of the mods did not work and were unable to be updated for weeks. Blizzard changed some of the normal coding and made the developers of the addons have nightmares. The servers were much more stable and we actually were able to raid without issues. So this brings us to 4.0. Servers came up a little later than expected, but when they did they were stable. The mod issue was much better because I think many developers learned from the past mistakes and were much more prepared for it. The difference was the game changed a lot and many people have had to relearn to play their class more so than ever before, which isn't a bad thing just changes the way people perceive if the release was a success or not. So with everything that went on on Tuesday and everything that changed I would say this was probably the most successful .0 release patch. This is a good omen because it means 5.0 will probably continue the pattern.

Would you turn someone down from joining your guild based on their name?

Well I cannot say I have ever turned someone down because they have problems with naming their toon within Blizzard's rules, but still make themselves out to look as if Bagellord surpasses them in intelligence. I am not saying everyone who joins has a name which is not borderline moronic because that would be a lie. So I will not say I wouldn't because they one of you will create a random toon with the most ridiculous name in the history of Warcraft and then ask for an invite and will have to take what I just said. So I will go with yes to cover myself from the madness that would ensue.

What is your favourite critter in the game?

Well I thought this was a very interesting question but how could I turn down a critter that I have these memories with.

That is it for this week. Next week's Reader Post will be about your fun and exciting times since 4.0 has hit. I know you all will have a lot of fun with that one.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend.

It's Almost Like, Talking to a Llama Action Figure

So I submitted a ticket yesterday evening in regards to being able to ignore an entire person's account. This way I would not have to ignore every toon because obviously when new toons are created I have no knowledge of them. So I submitted the ticket and, of course, with Blizzard's amazing ability to answer tickets in a timely manner it was not answer while I was still online. So I log on about 30 minutes ago and like oh my god I have a response! The planets align and I think my prayers have finally been answered. You know that feeling, when your ticket finally gets answered it is like you just running around wired like a kid in a candy store.

So I read the response and it has to do with Level rollback. Like seriously? Did this GM even read my ticket? And what kind of moron wants a level rollback anyway? Probably some idiot who wants to play a twink. Anyways, don't you think they would double check their response to their tickets? You would think that would be the case. He goes on to talk about putting something in the suggestion forum like I could even give a crap about that, and offers me a chance to fill out a survey on how well my ticket was answered.

Now I had the problem of having to make another ticket in regards to this one, which doesn't seem like much of a problem, but think about it. I cannot use any profanity or insult him/her or his mother. This is much more difficult then one would think, when you are not in the best of moods because of someone else's, namely this morons, inability to do his/her job correctly.
There is my rant, which suprisingly has made me feel a little better. Enjoy your weekend and long live the llama action figure!

Friday, October 15, 2010

So it is Friday and this week I asked people to send in what they are doing to get out of the boredom funk while waiting for Cataclysm. So maybe this will help out a lot of the Nation as we have still have over a month and a half to go.

I have been joining 5 man heroics and trying to get kicked. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is not. I find it much easier when I queue as a healer or a tank since the death toll seems to rise much faster.

Running all the instances that drop mounts especially ZG. I have wanted that tiger forever and I get this feeling that I am never going to have my very own Battlecat.

LOREMASTER! I want to get this done before all the quests I have always wanted to do will be gone forever. I have learned so much about the lore of this game and understood so much more the reason of why many of these instances exist. I would say to anyone that it is a great experience to take part in.

I have been going all around Azeroth taking as many pictures as I can. All the zones will be changed forever and I want to be able to look back and see how they were Once upon a time.

Apparently this week everyone was looking for ideas to get out of the funk and didn't have a lot to offer besides complaining that they were bored. Hopefully this will help.

Enjoy your weekend!

Return To Arms

After playing Arms yesterday I realized how much I missed it. I was never a fan of dual wield even if I had the giant two handers. Maybe it is just my play style. A Fury Warrior is supposed to be reckless and a raging berzerker. Now not that this isn't fun to do once in awhile, but it really came down to just an ADD type DPS where you are just mashing buttons and saying "I am awesome I have two two handers!". Arms is a much more controlled and fun play style for me. You have to watch your rend and procs and make sure not to miss any. It is a much more difficult spec to play and much more rewarding when you do it well. People would say to me you're amazing you just did such and such DPS and really I would be thinking I was really only press 2 buttons back and forth. As Arms you have more of a sense of accomplishment when things go well. It is the reason I always wanted to play a DPS warrior. The Arms Warrior itself was modeled after Cairne. The very reason I chose to pick a tauren. I plan to make him proud as long as Blizzard keeps it as an opportunity.

So getting back to my Arms Warrior roots gets me back to this old awesomeness. Guess I will have to go take a picture of myself before this expansion is over to fit in.

Hopefully my Level 80 finishing shot is just and menacing as these ones.

4.0 Warrior Hell

So I know many classes have changed completely, and everyone has to relearn their classes. I know compared to all other pre-expansion patches this will be one that I will have to do the most tweaking. I also think this is a good thing. I will be going back to Arms the reason I started playing a warrior as DPS. It is a more fun spec to play and isn't just about mashing buttons. Fury just isn't worth it anymore and they have taken away the fun of the "BIG NUMBERS". So as I am along with all of you going to relearn how to play. I will leave you with something someone named Ruzu wrote on the warrior forums. It is directed towards warriors, but I think it can apply to everyone

Man the @!*# up.

I've noticed that quite a few of you are doing this already. That's great. Really, it is. You guys are going to be the ones setting the standard in the next month or so, and even moreso when Cataclysm actually comes out. Keep it up. You can go out and kill everything that moves while I lecture the crybabies.

But the rest of you: Man up. Wax your sword, polish your armor, bathe your axe in the blood of the opposite faction or whatever motivates you to USE the thing instead of hanging it up lest it rust from your tears of anguish that your class has had its goddamned cheese moved.

Warriors have changed. Yes. Changed. There's a lot of that going on right now in the game, in case you haven't noticed. And a lot of you are approaching this with a level of stoicism and chutzpah that makes a Woody Allen role look like Warlord Saurfang. Did you trade your rage bar for Tears of Bitter Anguish, or have you never had to so much as change your rotation before?

But I understand. Right now, you're confused. You're going through some strange changes. All of a sudden you're thinking of using moves you never thought you would use, your health shot up practically overnight, and you're finding new stats in places where you'd never expect them to grow. But just remember, these are all natural.

Many classes and specs have all-new mechanics to try and work out. A lot of them get new toys. Toys that might seem shinier and brighter and flashier than yours. And if you're mad that paladins have holy power, death knights get a rune system, hunters have 20 pets, druids get a fancy-pants sun and moon and you're there with beat-up plate armor and a glorified pointy stick, well, there's something you've forgotten:

You don't need that crap. You never have.

You cut things. You break things. It's an art that's been continually refined and perfected since that first squirming thing realized it could eat other squirming things. It's your modus operandi, raison d'etre, and other fancy-pants words too. And you're going to mortal strike the paladins where the light don't shine, shatter rune swords, eat every last goddamned one of the hunters' pets and when that druids hits a lunar eclipse you're gonna break the goddamned moon.

So go. Get out there and sunder, strike, and cleave until you've got it figured out. Just because you've got to deal with a few change-ups doesn't mean that things aren't going to die from being hacked in half anymore. You're warriors. You've got the strength of a punch to the face and the simplicity of a punch to the face with all the grace and artistry of a very graceful and artistic punch to the face. And maybe you weren't playing for as long as some other warriors, but take my word for it when I say we've been through far, far worse. And six years and innumerable patches later, they still haven't stopped us.

Now get out there and get back to the murdering. The realms are back up and time's-a-wastin'.

Enjoy your relearning I know I will be.

You Fail At Being A Warlock If...

So it is Patch Day today, but besides that it is everyone's favourite day of the week Fail Day. Staying with the the theme of the last few weeks of picking specific classes and making you and those you know not only laugh but feel awful about yourselves I felt this was the perfect opportunity to do the warlock. So without waiting any longer here goes

You Fail At Being A Warlock If...
  • You don't have some stupid macro that everyone in the raid complains about when you summon your pet.
  • If you think your Blueberry has the coolest names of all your demons
  • Even when you were so Overpowered beyond belief you still found something about your class that needed to be buffed
  • You don't apply eye liner before raids
  • You think seeding is serious business
  • You don't enjoy hellfiring yourself to death
  • You wonder why you die when you mindlessly lifetap without getting heals
  • You don't complain about having to summon someone to an instance because you are there so why couldn't they be.
  • You don't have a snarky remark when someone asks for a lock cookie
  • You don't have aggro problems
  • Your toons hair isn't black
  • Even despite your tier sets being some of the best designed throughout the entire games existence you complain endlessly they look bad
  • When you pull aggro you blame it on "the dots"
  • You keep razorblades by your desk incase someone beats you on DPS

and finally

  • Even with Blizzards complete overhaul of the entire shard system you still complain it is stupid and unfair compared to other classes that have just mana

That is it for this week. Enjoy updating all your mods, finding things to do during downtime, and complaining that WoW as we know it is ending.

Happy Thanksgiving

So today is Canadian Thanksgiving. It is like American Thanksgiving except earlier without a deep fryer and loaded guns. In advance send hate mail for that comment to Anyways, with it being Thanksgiving and with 4.0 all but officially confirmed for tomorrow I decided to come up with a Thanks list.
  • Thank you Blizzard for all the useless Pally gear that has dropped in ICC and allowed me to break 6k gearscore on my joke holy warrior set.
  • Thank you also Blizzard for my pretty Legendary that makes me feel like I am uber awesome
  • Thank you to all the people who didn't pre buy gems and glyphs and will get me the last 10k I need to become part of the Million Gold club tomorrow.
  • Thank you to this Girl Guide who came by and sold me these cookies and gave me something to eat while posting this
  • Thank you to Three Score for being an awesome guild and allowing me to lead you all these years. Who would have thought we would be going to our 4th expansion.
  • Thank you for everyone who records the "bits" I say and reminds me of it over and over again.
  • Thank you to Dr. Pepper for being there while I am thirsty during raids
  • Thank you for vent normalization
  • Thank you to Ret Pallies for being fail and also giving me a go to topic if I have nothing else to go on
  • Thank you for my neck finally dropping off Blood Queen. Oh wait that didn't happen.
  • Thank you to the Gauss Nation who have given me the motivation to keep on posting
  • And lastly thank you in advance for my beta invite to the next expansion

Enjoy the rest of your Monday and the last capable day of raiding before 4.0. That is unless everyone in every game circle is wrong.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ask Gauss

Sunday it is, the day before Canadian Thanksgiving, but I am still going to eat more than I possibly could imagine eating today. Enough of that though. Being Sunday it means it is time for Ask Gauss. The day I go through all the mails I have received and choose some questions to answer I think everyone would be interested in. So here goes.

What do you hate most about patch day?

Mods. I run more mods than most people. Yes, I run my UI mods, but I have a lot of mods that are just for neatness and to make things easier. So updating or finding updates for these mods can be quite bothersome. Also there is the case that they haven't been updated at all, and then I have to go about finding another mod that was doing the same thing the previous was. This whole updating mod situation is even worse when a .0 patches. This is because it is a new version of the game meaning the "load out of date" option is not even available. The mod has to be compatible with the new version of the game itself. This in the past has meant surviving days or even weeks without those precious mods you can't live without. I remember when 3.0 hit none of the "onebag" mods were working. I had to use the bag system how Blizzard intended, it was horrible. So more than anything else it is the mods something that I always hate doing.

How crazy is it going to be when 4.0 hits?

Well my guess is pretty nuts. Never before have we had a expansion patch which will effect the current game play as much as this one will. Gems, enchants, specs, glyphs and so much more. There is talk that raiding will be much easier and there is talk that raiding will be much more difficult. They have even delayed the new Arena Season till the week after Cataclysm's launch because they don't know how everything is going to work out. The auction house is going to be a gold mine. I am thinking I can break 50k+ a day for a couple days straight if not more. Also people relearning how to play their classes, and I am just not talking about abilities. Hunters get focus, Warlocks get a new shard system, and DKs get a new rune system just to say a few. The very basics of the game are changing. So madness will definitely follow.

What Pre-Cataclysm event you are most looking forward to?

The conclusion of the Carine storyline. One of the greatest characters in the history of new horde will be gone. Hopefully the event is one to remember.

That is it for this week. As always if you want your question answered send it along to or click the link at the top of the page. Next week's Reader Post is going to be what you are doing to satisfy your boredom while waiting for Cataclysm.

A Wrath Of For The Horde

With Tuesday being the most likely release date of patch 4.0 this weekend is most likely the end of the For The Horde as we have known it in Wrath. First off I would like to state the record of completions is 84-12. That means 84 successful runs and 12 which were stopped that is a 87.5% rate of completion and I will take it. So as this era draws to an end I want to relive some of the best moments of For The Horde.

Death From Above: Using the levitate bug we were able to get 3 people, one being a warlock above the kings room in Ironforge. We summoned a raid of 40 people up there and once everyone was assembled and buffed we dropped down like a raid of paratroopers and owned the King flawlessly.

Ultimate For The Horde: One weekend on both Saturday and Sunday I assembled multiple raids to not only kill the leaders of the cities but to control them. On the Saturday we held Ironforge for almost an hour causing havoc I don't think the server had ever seen. On the Sunday we started in Ironforge, held it for 15 minutes before making our way to Stormwind and holding the entire city for over an hour before many in the group ran out of time.

The Yeti Cave: The perfect place to assemble without notice. What all those level 5 toons were thinking when they saw an army of Horde I can only imagine. Come Cataclysm we won't need spots like this, since we can just fly around. Sad panda.

Death to Gimm: Nothing like a rivalry, which has developed between defender and assaulter. This will be something I hope keeps going even if the raids will be changed quite a bit.

"The Fail is Strong Today": Everyone's favourite phrase that everyone waits and waits for me to say every single raid. The people that come back each week know it is coming and the newbies get something to remember.

The Crazy Mexican Kid: Oh yes how can we forget the kid that made me never want to give out my vent info again. He obviously never took a breath and obviously had a lot to say even if there wasn't anything of substance in what he was saying.

Bagellord: How can we ever forget Bagellord. The champion of fail himself who will always give us those "remember that time..."

So be here have some fun and let's make the last For The Horde raids before 4.0 be something to remember as well. LOK'TAR OGAR!!!!!!!!

Onward To Cataclysm

It is Friday, which means it is the Reader Post for the week. This week I asked everyone to send in what they were looking forward to in Cataclysm. Lots of submissions so maybe this is what you are looking forward to, maybe it is not, or maybe you didn't even think about this. So let's get to it.

ALTS. I love making alts, I love levelling alts from 10-30. For whatever reason, my initiative seems to peter out between 30 and 50. So on one hand, I want to be able to gain a level in a couple hours, yet I don’t want things to be made to easy? What a hypocrite I am! What’s the answer? Well for me, a good answer would be have the first character on any server level at the old speed – that is, 8-10 days played to get to the max level. Any subsequent characters on that server could then level at a prorated speed, for instance the 2nd character levels 10% faster, third 20% and so on provided the 3rd doesn’t exceed the 2nd in level. Ok, so I got a little off track there, I’m really looking forward to a revamp of some of the old zones, the Barrens in particular. I’m extremely excited about the prospect of all these low level zones getting a population boost as a result of these changes. I’m also looking forward to Trolls and Gnomes getting a proper capital city and starting experience, Goblins, the Mastery system, the prospect of player and guild housing, talent overhauls, new abilities, and new zones. Lastly, and this might be the big one, Graphical Updates. I’d love nothing more that to see just a few more polygons on the screen.

We're going to get whole new dungeons we haven't seen hundreds of times already, with all-new mechanics. Glory in once again having no idea what this pull does. I have always enjoyed "let's try this" and then you die horribly and get to try again.

The Stockades has new bosses including one fugitive gnoll above who’s finally coming into his own – Hogger! Apparently thanks to the effects of Deathwing breaking free of his prison, the Stormwind Stockades has suffered a little damage and just as the guard was starting to regain control of the area, a number of new prisoners and areas of the prison have opened up, with the imprisoned running free. Of course, you’ll have to revisit your roots and head back in to put the resistance down and restore order to Stormwind, but there’ll be a bit more in store for you this time around, including three new quests and three new bosses!

Just seeing the old zones redesigned will be great. Going to places where you have been 100s of times and being able to say "that is awesome". Making old things new will bring many old players back to the game and make the game more enjoyable because it won't be the same old place. There will be new and exciting things to do.

Instances that require CC and thought. All those idiots that scream go go go will keep dying and hopefully they will learn or quit the game. Either way that works for me.

Let’s face it, World of Warcraft is showing it’s age. I’m not just talking about graphics, I’m talking about game-play. I’m talking about grinding. I’m talking about the interface, about reliance on the random number generator, about those things that are still buggy and broken in the current game. Cataclysm represents to me, everything that Wrath of the Lich King should have been. As a self-admitted reroller, I really enjoy creating a new character and leveling him up. And from I’ve read, this is exactly what Cataclysm is going to be bringing to WoW – that polished experience you’ve come to enjoy from 58-80 will now be available from the initial starting experience. I must say, this couldn’t be coming at a better time for me, as my interest in WotLK waned shortly after reach 80 and starting on Nax last fall.

That is it for this week. As always if you want to be a part of it look for next week's topic on Sunday during Ask Gauss. You can't be a part if you don't submit anything. Enjoy your Friday and have a good weekend.

The "S" Key

Today I am going to rant about something that drives me completely mad. My hope is that people will read this and either realize how moronic they are being or that they will pass this information along and inform people about how moronic they are. The "S" key for those who don't know is the default character which makes you walk backwards. In code known as "back peddle". This is all well and good if there is a logical reason to walk backwards to which I can not find a reason at the moment. Let me propose some situations where it wouldn't be good to do so.
  • Someone is running at you with a knife and going to stab you
  • A car is coming right for you
  • Your house is on fire
  • A ledge is collapsing on a cliff and you could fall in

See these would seem simple that you would turn and run. How does this get lost in translation in WoW. Leo the Blind in SSC was where this first started to bug me. This guy spinning around in circles is coming right for you and I am slowly going to walk backwards and watch him as he kills me. Ya that makes a lot of sense. You are standing in fire and you must watch the situation as you slowly back peddle out of the fire which is killing you. Oh look a Blood Beast is about to give you a facial I will just slowly walk backwards instead of running the hell away from it. Zombie coming right for me excuse me while I want a front row seat to it killing me. I have Pack of the Dark Fallen so I will walk to the middle backwards while I survey the room for some apparent reason.

These situations may seem funny, but why do people have to do this. In real life it would seem completely retarded as you saw above, but in WoW people don't make this connection. Maybe it is just me expecting people not to be an idiot or expecting to much. I just want to know someone's logic with this situation. Who knows maybe they would walk backwards when being chased by a masked murder or if a car was about to hit them. If that was the case at least this entire situation would make more sense.

No Not The Portals

For those who haven't heard, come Cataclysm the portals to the major cities throughout Azeroth and Outland are being removed from Dalaran and Shattrath and are being replaced by Class Trainers. Blizzard's reason for this is they don't want people to have easy routes in order to get around between Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms. If you think about it you wouldn't have to change your Hearthstone from Dalaran come Cataclysm because you could get everywhere you need to go from there. Now this actually puzzles me and I will tell you why.

First off the reason Class Trainers where not put in Shattrath and Dalaran in the first place was because Blizzard still wanted us to have a connection to the "old world". We had to go back to use the trainers and the auction house. I accepted it even if it was a pain in the ass and the portals made it easy to get to the old cities anyway. Removing the portals in my opinion now makes traveling to these places except to level pointless. They would have had a great opportunity to still have these cities active during a new expansion. Hell I was planning on making Shattrath my new home because of lack of people in the area.

Secondly, LFG ports you to the dungeon. You don't have to travel there. I would guess that half the people doing instances with this tool have no idea what zone the instance is in they are doing. With Brewfest if you didn't have the remote in past years you had to head to BRD. Blizzard has removed the traveling aspect so why did removing the portals even matter? If you are going to argue removing the portals stops people from traveling then force people to queue for specific instances at the meeting stone. For the random I have no logical way of "making people go", but at least stand behind your point of removing the portals.

Lastly this means hell for those who are leveling to use the auction house. You will be stuck in Outland or Northrend without a viable way besides a mage to get you to the Azeroth.

I understand the decision and I am actually for it, but just make it consistent and not bad for leveling. Make people travel some way to instances and make the auction house available in Shattrath and Dalaran. Simple and easy make it happen.

You Fail At Being A Hunter If...

So Happy Fail Day everyone! Today is installment number two of the classes for Fail Day. I know it will be hard to top the Pally, but by popular request the Hunter is going to be number two. So sit back and laugh at your friends, laugh at the people you think are your friends, laugh at your alts, and of course take offense that I am laughing at you.

You Fail At Being A Hunter If...
  • You have a pet whose name is the animal it is
  • You run out of amount and must melee a boss
  • The concept of kiting evades you
  • You leave aspect of the daze on
  • You disengage off a cliff
  • You ever have to pay a repair bill
  • You think volley is pro AoE
  • Your ability to misdirect a tank is non existent
  • You ever have used the term "Hunter Weapon"
  • You are BM spec for progression raids
  • You have aggro problems
  • You don't know the reason hunters are referred to as "huntards"
  • You complain hunters have never received a chance at a legendary
  • Your name is in any way a reference to Legolas

and finally

  • Your pet ran away during a boss pull because you forgot to feed it

That is it for this week. Hope all of you hunters had a good laugh and hope all of the non hunters got a good laugh, because your class could be next week! Good luck on this Free Loot Tuesday!

The Non WoW Music

So as you all know or should know if you pay attention to anything I write, I play with WoW sounds and music on. I believe it adds to the game and the experience as a whole. Many people disagree with me on this and have decided to overload my inbox with "Are you serious?", "You call other people special?", "Don't you go mad every time you do Sindragosa?". The answer to all 3 questions is yes. I actually have to turn down Sindragosa music if I actually want to hear myself think or other people on vent. (Now what all those that don't play with music will do Sindragosa with music on...)

So with all of this in mind I am just going to wager a guess at what some people must listen to while playing WoW.

Let's not joke around here around here, PvPers are predictable. Most of the major arena contributors are of the age 17-21 and think they are the greatest thing to ever log on to WoW. This is also why many "Hardcore" arena players have a very hard time converting to PvE because they lack the discipline and the patience, which is generally associated with the younger player. Anyways, getting off topic. I would venture a guess that "Let the bodies hit the floor", "Indestructible", or some other form of alternative rock are quite popular. Of course I also have to assume that any rap including various forms of Eminem are on the list. Hey maybe even throw some "Eye of Tiger" into the mix.

I tend to think the people that listen to music whiling doing this are generally listening to popular music from whatever era they grew up in. Why? Because it helps them pass the time while they may be doing things that many consider to be mindless.

These people are generally special and have there own side of crazy. I will go with whatever type of Emo music is on their playlists.

Well those who don't know Whirl listens to "Barbie Girl", but really I have this theory that some people must do some sort of victory dance. "We are the champions" comes to mind or even "Don't Stop Believing", but maybe this is just me trying to imagine the most embarrassing thing to walk in on.

So there are my thoughts jumping into the heads of all of the non-WoW sounds people. It is not that I don't like music I just don't like it while I am playing. Last day before reset, may your slaying of Internet pixels be quick and precise.

Ask Gauss

Happy Sunday all, and as with every Sunday here it is time to answer the questions of the week. As always if you want your question answered just send them throughout the week to and I will answer them regardless if it is on here or not. So there is for all the people who have told me it is impossible to see the link in the top right to the email. Anyways, let's get on with this week's questions.

What qualities do you think makes a good guild leader?

I think patience is something which is a must. You cannot expect that your guild is going to be the best of the best always. Every guild has there ups and downs and it is about how you manage both situations, which will show your true abilities. In good times it is about making sure your guild doesn't fall into the trap of entitlement and expectations. In the bad times it is about keeping people happy and being encouraging. Guild members regardless of what they say take their guild master's feelings and mood to how well the guild is going and to see the direction. This is why someone who acts as if the world is going to end is never going to be able to keep their guild together through the hard times.

Also I think you need to have someone who is approachable. You have to be someone that everyone can talk to on an even scale. People need to be able to talk to the guild master about the guild. State their concerns and give feedback. Sure the Guild is pretty much a dictatorship, but it is about handling it in a way that gives every guild member a voice. It really all comes back to patience saying something when it needs to be said and acting at the right times.

With Cataclysm and 10 man guilds being on the rise, will this be the end of practice of Loot Systems?

Well 10 man guilds first of all probably have no more than 12 active raiders. That is,of course, ssuming they are for progression and only running 1 group. In this one group lets assume 2 tanks 3 melee, 3 healers, 4 range for the 12 people. The overlap on loot between people in a 10 man is pretty minor. Sure there will probably be a couple items that a couple people want but it would be pretty minor. Also the atmosphere of a 10 man is much different than a 25. A 10 man is generally more relaxed, people tend to more open and talk with one another, where as a 25 man people are quiet except for 4 or 5 people. This makes 10 man a more open and friendly type atmosphere where in fact a roll system could work just because the lack of people interested in specific items and the atmosphere of the group itself. If this be the case then shoudn't we end all loot systems? No of course not, but you can go with a much more simplistic system which is focused on a smaller group. Something like suicide kings is a great example. Where as a a point system such as EPGP would be in my mind a waste of time. Loot council as well might be bordering on too much time for that size of people. So really I think loot systems will be less important, but I truly doubt they will disappear.

What makes you smile?

Watching a ret pally die.

That is it for this week. Send me all your knew questions throughout the week and maybe you could be featured here next week. Next week's Reader Post will be about what you are looking forward to most come Cataclysm.

Enjoy the remains of your weekend.

Deathwing Vs Alexstrasza

So first off this will contain a few spoilers so if you are not interested in that I would say turn yourself away from this today.

This is the full Dialogue of a fight between Alexstrasza and Deathwing. It happens after a quest line in the Twilight Highlands. They proceed to fight. One thing I find funny is that Alexstrasza said she "ended Malygos" wasn't that us? She just got us in and then her drakes came to help. She just shows up at the end and takes all the credit. I can see many people complaining about Alexstrasza's voice because she sounds like a grandmother and her model doesn't fit her voice. Think of it this way they are trying to make her voice to fit her role as Queen of the Dragons and the Aspect of life. Meaning the grandmother figure is a great choice for a voice. So they really don't care about those special people and their Alexstrasza fantasies. Deathwing's voice to me is perfect just as I thought it would be. The best line in my opinion
"The sun has set on this mortal world. Make peace with your end, for the hour of twilight falls!"

Enjoy your weekend hopefully it is not raining like it is here.

I Loot Therefore I Complain

Today is Friday, which means it is time for a Reader Post. The post where all of you send in your submissions and make the post what it is. This week I asked for submissions about that time people complained about loot for one reason or another. So here goes

While in VoA 25 man I was the only Enhancement Shaman. The PvP legs drop for Shamans, a Hunter rolls on them and wins and the raid leader didnt bother to check if he was a Shaman and he got the legs... Ya I had a few choice words for him to be certain. In the end his excuse was....I didnt see the "Shaman" part!

While i was on my warlock, in tanaris, i was groupign with a mage a priest and a warrior, and the Underworld band droped, so i said neato, this- would be nice for me (me being the only warlock in the party, so i rolled need, and so did the mage. the mage won 17 to 6 (i rolled the 6) and then i asked what the mage was gonna put it on, and they replied, no one, i need the mats for my enchanting, and before i could get another word in, they got a small radiant shard, and i was slack jawed (to say the least) then after the priest finished typing her novel as to who should be rolling for it, she spoke up and said to the mage that that epic ring has shadow damage, and the 'lock could have used it a lot more than the mage could have used the shard, about 8 minutes passed and everything re spawned, and we all got raped.

I was running my friend through gnomer, he was a hunter and going to be a twink. He also invited this priest from the guild which was begging to go too, so we get there and around the last boss the BOE gnomer leggings drop!!! The hunter asks may i have, for my twink set? i say of course and the priest says Hell no, AND NEEDS and i was just WTF BITCH?!? The Hunter died in that fight *i was only lvl 43 when i tried running them* and the priest freaking left, w/o rezing!!! Left the guild! and cussed us out in psts! i reported him for cussing 0=} *i don't ussaully report anyone for anything but i was pissed* I found out he had been reported for this before and got his account frozen.Yay *reason i found out cause he made another account and cussed me out, again and tried reporting me for NOTHING*

Omfg, running ZF yeh, ran it for 2 months straight, what was i looking for [Jang'thraze the Deflector] already got Sang'thraze. Anywho, 9th run of the night, im um to chief ulkorz skullcap, and we down him, like we have the previous 8 times, it drops, im like so excited i nearly fell out of my chair, i click need, then the hunter clicks need, im like WTF Dude, i really need that, he wins the roll and i have a go at him and he says, " I needed the other half more than you did" im like " Dude, i have been farming for two months, and i been paying you guys for the run, you got 45g outta me tonight, what the hell?" he replies " You dont deserve this sword, i do, get fuxed, eat cock, and good luck trying to get it again loser" he left the grp. worst ninja ever, i almost gave up on it, it was because of him it took me so long to get to 62, and i never got it, always wanted that Epic 2h

So i was in deadmines on my mage. When we got to the foundary im like "i want this ring (Lavishly Jeweled Ring) so please let me have it." Everyone agrees but the pally (i think she was dps), she also asked if she could need it and we all agreed (still i was really hoping she lost). we kill the boss and i dont get any loot pop-up menu roll thing-a-majig, all i see is "[Assholepally] recieves loot: [Lavishly Jeweled Ring]" so im like WTF and then i see it.. the loot bag of doom sitting there next to the pally's portrait, laughing at me with its stiches and whatnot. So basically the moral here is dont let the person who you are up against for loot be leader.

We had this mage in our guild that would roll on everything he could use even if he shouldn't use it. Then everything he didn't win somehting regardless of it would improve him or not he would go on and go about how it would change the very face of the world if he would have gotten it. It became this big joke everytime he lost and people would say "oh noes here it goes"

That is it for this week. As always if yu want to have a submission for these posts check out the topic on Sunday and then you have till Thursday night to get it in. Can't be part of it if you don't take part.

Enjoy your weekend!
